<strong>prostor</strong>a. To <strong>za</strong>hteva izboljšan nadzor nadrazvojem poselitve <strong>in</strong> boljše izvajanje <strong>prostor</strong>skihnačrtov. Trend suburbani<strong>za</strong>cije bo težko ustaviti,vendar pa je mogoče <strong>za</strong>gotoviti ustrezen tipnaselij <strong>in</strong> kakovost bivanja. Procese je torej trebausmerjati na ustrezna zemljišča <strong>in</strong> <strong>za</strong>gotovitikakovostno oblikovanje. Vzpodbujanje novihpartnerstev <strong>in</strong> alternativnih pogajalskihpostopkov bi olajšalo razreševanje neizogibnihkonfliktov.Razvoj novih strategij <strong>za</strong> turizem v Alpah moravključevati alternative tradicionalnemu smučarskemuturizmu. »Mehke« <strong>in</strong> razpršene obliketurizma na podeželju bi morale temeljiti na<strong>kraj<strong>in</strong>i</strong>, lokalnih izdelkih <strong>in</strong> drugih značilnih virih.Izboljšanje sodelovanja z drugimi sektorji,predvsem s kmetijstvom, bi omogočilo boljšoizrabo virov <strong>in</strong> bolj enakomerno razporeditevdobička iz turizma med alpskimi regijami.In the prosperous alp<strong>in</strong>e valleys and <strong>in</strong> areas with<strong>in</strong>tensive tourism the policy action should focuson reduc<strong>in</strong>g pressure of development on thelandscapes, avoid<strong>in</strong>g negative environmentalimpacts and manag<strong>in</strong>g land-use conflicts. Thisneeds an improved control of settlement developmentand better implementation of spatialplans. The trend towards suburbanisationseems difficult to stop, but the type and qualityof the new suburbs can be significantly affectedby spatial plann<strong>in</strong>g policies. Therefore, the aimshould be to steer the processes toward suitableareas and patterns to ensure the quality of theresult<strong>in</strong>g liv<strong>in</strong>g environments. Promotion of newand alternative negotiation procedures shouldimprove the management of land use conflicts.The development of new strategies for the alp<strong>in</strong>etourism should <strong>in</strong>clude alternatives to traditionalski-oriented tourism. Soft and small-scaled tourism<strong>in</strong> rural alp<strong>in</strong>e regions should build uponcultural landscape, regional products and othertypical regional resources.
