Based on a Joint meeting of the FAO Working of Experts on Pesticide Residues andthe WHO Expert Committee on Pesticide Residues Acceptable Daily Intake (JMPRADI) of 0.004 mg/kgbw/day the dietary burden of dichlorvos in adults is equivalentto 93% of the ADI.65. Current controls on the products are consistent with the majority of other agriculturalchemical trade name products registered under the ACVM Act. Withholding periodsto avoid non-compliant residues are set and stated on the labels for the approveduses. There is no obligation to comply with the stated withholding periods.
