4 TENNIS FOR SCHOOLS <strong>Learn</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Play</strong> | EQUIPMENT, SET-UP, MAXIMIZING PARTICIPATIONEQUIPMENT, SET-UP, AND MAXIMIZING PARTICIPATIONEquipmentAll these lessons require the same equipment: tennis nets, age-appropriate tennis racquets, linemarkers, <strong>and</strong> foam tennis balls. Although foam tennis balls are ideal for indoor use (i.e., havea soft bounce <strong>and</strong> are safe), special care must be taken when using them because theytear easily. A teaching kit containing all the required equipment is available from your Provincial<strong>Tennis</strong> Association. However, the <strong>Tennis</strong> for Schools program can also be taught with other availableequipment.
