For Fiscal Year 2008-09 total l<strong>and</strong>ed weight at the <strong>Airport</strong> decreased 934,486 thous<strong>and</strong> pounds (-3.2%)<br />

when compared with Fiscal Year 2007-08. The decline in l<strong>and</strong>ed weight during Fiscal Year 2008-09 was partially<br />

<strong>of</strong>fset by the aggregate increase in l<strong>and</strong>ed weight <strong>of</strong> 1,248,132 thous<strong>and</strong> pounds (68.6%) by Southwest Airlines <strong>and</strong><br />

Virgin America Airlines. Among the major carriers serving the <strong>Airport</strong>, total l<strong>and</strong>ed weight for United Airlines<br />

(including SkyWest/United Airlines flights) was down 1,052,921 thous<strong>and</strong> pounds (-8.5%); American Airlines was<br />

down 137,219 thous<strong>and</strong> pounds (-5.9%); Southwest Airlines was up 671,174 thous<strong>and</strong> pounds (65.7%); Virgin<br />

America was up 577,048 thous<strong>and</strong> pounds (72.2%); Delta Air Lines (including SkyWest/Delta Air Lines, Express<br />

Jet Airlines <strong>and</strong> Mesaba Airlines) was down 197,644 thous<strong>and</strong> pounds (-16.3%); US Airways (including Mesa<br />

Airlines) was down 58,589 thous<strong>and</strong> pounds (-5.5%); Northwest Airlines was down 28,970 thous<strong>and</strong> pounds<br />

(-3.4%); Alaska Airlines was down 252,428 thous<strong>and</strong> pounds (-24.3%); Continental Airlines was down<br />

2,658 thous<strong>and</strong> pounds (-0.4%); <strong>and</strong> British Airways was down 3,780 thous<strong>and</strong> pounds (-0.8%) during Fiscal<br />

Year 2008-09 when compared to Fiscal Year 2007-08.<br />

Total l<strong>and</strong>ed weight at the <strong>Airport</strong> was down 0.5% during the first six months (July through December) <strong>of</strong><br />

Fiscal Year 2009-10 when compared to the first six months <strong>of</strong> Fiscal Year 2008-09. United Airlines total l<strong>and</strong>ed<br />

weight (including the l<strong>and</strong>ed weight for the SkyWest/United Airlines flights) was down 4.0%; American Airlines<br />

(including American Eagle flights) was down 2.4%, Southwest Airlines was up 16.4%; Virgin America was up<br />

24.5%; Delta Air Lines (including SkyWest/Delta Air Lines, Express Jet Airlines <strong>and</strong> Mesaba Airlines) was up<br />

0.7%; US Airways including Mesa Airlines) was down 4.4%; Northwest Airlines was up 3.5%; Alaska Airlines<br />

(including Horizon Air) was down 19.8%; Continental Airlines was up 5.8%; <strong>and</strong> British Airways was down 2.2%<br />

during the first six months (July through December) <strong>of</strong> Fiscal Year 2009-10 when compared to the first six months<br />

<strong>of</strong> Fiscal Year 2008-09.<br />

Total l<strong>and</strong>ed weight at the <strong>Airport</strong> was up 1.1% during December 2009 when compared to December 2008.<br />

United Airlines total l<strong>and</strong>ed weight (including the l<strong>and</strong>ed weight for the SkyWest/United Airlines flights) was down<br />

1.6%; American Airlines (including American Eagle flights) was down 2.1%; Southwest Airlines was up 14.1%;<br />

Virgin America was up 25.8%; Delta Air Lines (including SkyWest/Delta Air Lines, Express Jet Airlines <strong>and</strong><br />

Mesaba Airlines) was up 3.5%; US Airways including Mesa Airlines) was down 5.1%; Northwest Airlines was up<br />

6.6%; Alaska Airlines (including Horizon Air) was down 11.5%; Continental Airlines was up 3.9%; <strong>and</strong> British<br />

Airways was down 16.7% during December 2009 when compared to December 2008.<br />

L<strong>and</strong>ing fees paid by each airline are based on l<strong>and</strong>ed weights <strong>of</strong> aircraft operating at the <strong>Airport</strong>. The<br />

l<strong>and</strong>ed weights for the 10 most active airlines operating at the <strong>Airport</strong> for Fiscal Years 2004-05 through 2008-09 <strong>and</strong><br />

for the first six months (July through December <strong>of</strong> Fiscal Years 2008-09 <strong>and</strong> 2009-10) are shown in the table below.<br />
