4. Make a reference mark at the gear box and rearaxle to ensure proper re-assembly. If partlocation is not marked you risk loosing thealignment location causing the drive shaft tobecome unbalance, which could cause damageto the machine.5. Using two 13 mm wrenches remove the six boltsattaching the drive shaft to the gear box and therear axle.1. Position machine on a hard level surface.2. Block all wheels to prevent machine from rolling.3. Install the drive shaft.4. Using two 13 mm wrenches install the six boltsattaching the drive shaft to the gear box and therear axle. Make sure alignment is correct. Ifalignment is not correct you risk loosing thebalancing of the drive shaft, which can causedamage to the machine.6. Remove the drive shaft.ASSEMBLYPeriodic inspections of the drive shafts arerecommended to check for proper lubrication,excessive wear, and any loose, missing or damagedcomponents.5. Torque bolts to 20 ft lbs.6. Using a 13 mm wrench install bottom protectioncover.To remove the drive shaft follow the procedures listedbelow:Prior to removing the drive shaft, support the driveshaft to prevent it from dropping.
