New England and Nova Scotia - General InformationReservationsReservations may be made directly to John Hall’s Alaska by mail, telephone, or in person.DepositsTo confirm your reservation please send a deposit of $500.00 per person within ten days of your reservation. To reserve your space by credit card, please contact our office.Final PaymentsFinal Payment must reach John Hall’s Alaska 75 days prior to tour departure date. If payment is not received on time, space may be released; re-booking will be subject to availability. Mastercard,Visa, Discover, American Express, and personal checks are acceptable forms of payment. A discount of $100 per person will be extended for tours paid by cash or check. ($500per person deposits may still be made by credit card).CancellationsIf a cancellation is made in writing at least 75 days prior to departure, a full refund will be made. For cancellations made less than 75 days prior to departure, the following per personcharges apply: 61-74 days - deposit amounts, 29-60 days - 50% of total charges; 15- 28 days - 75% of total charges, 14 days prior to departure, 100% of fare. In the event of interruption orcancellation of your tour after its commencement, there will be no refunds.Dining OptionsSalt-free, kosher, food allergies or any other special dietary meals must be requested at the time of booking. Please reconfirm when you board the ship. You may request first, secondor anytime dining with tables of two, four, six or eight. We’ll do every thing we can to honor your request based on the date of booking. Dining room reservations will be confirmed by themaitre d’, and you’ll find a confirmation card in your state room. Breakfast and lunch times may vary depending on port times and activities. Tipping your John Hall’sAlaska Cruise Manager is not required and is at your discretion.Packing RecommendationsSweaters, lightweight jackets, slacks and sport shirts are fine for day wear. Comfortable walking shoes are a must (closed-toed shoes for ladies). You may wish to bring along an umbrella, alight raincoat and rain hat. Consider bringing a pair of gloves, a scarf or a hat. Many guests enjoy having a small pair of binoculars along during their tour. Each evening of your cruise, theprogram for the following day will be delivered to your room, announcing that evening’s suggested dress code in the main dining room. Casual: Sport shirts and slacks for men; sun dressesor pants for women. Smart Casual: Jackets and ties for men; dresses and pant suits for women. Formal: Suits and ties for men; cocktail dresses for women.Tour DocumentsTour documents, including detailed itinerary, luggage tags, Alumni Adventure keepsake and passenger lists will be mailed approximately 14-21 days prior to departure. This may be delayedif final payment is not received on time.Extended Stays and Additional OvernightsShould you wish to spend some free time in Newark/New York City or Quebec, we would be happy to help you make these arrangements. Some additional fees may be applicable.Itinerary RevisionsJohn Hall’s Alaska reserves the right to revise the services included in the itinerary such as hotel accommodations and attractions. In cases of substitution, a comparable quality service willbe used.
