Direct<strong>in</strong>g myself toward <strong>the</strong> Roman Controversy, I organized aprotest <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> church at St. Hilary <strong>in</strong> Cornwall with ano<strong>the</strong>r bro<strong>the</strong>r.Because I was vocally provocative, I was pelted with stones, rottenfruit, eggs and whatever else was available.One night, we were just start<strong>in</strong>g our meet<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> marketplace<strong>in</strong> Grimsby when a priest walked by wear<strong>in</strong>g his long robes. At <strong>the</strong>meet<strong>in</strong>gs, all <strong>the</strong> girls clustered around Teddy and left me out.After a few years, I found that my jealousy was <strong>in</strong>consequentialbecause life moved quickly for Teddy.
