I was surrendering on what I’ve always moved on… Hisvoice.I was in Savannah with some dear friends who thought that Ishould live in America. And with friends like these, who needsenemies?! It sparked off in a restaurant when a little black girlcame up and kissed me and said, “How long are you here for?” Itold her and she said, “You are not….” And they picked up onthat. Then there was a sister sent over to Bron Wendon with a prophecythat I should leave my home and my people and the peopleI was called to and shall go to another land and I should settlethere. Well that did move me and I wondered about it. And thena brother offered me a home in Savannah. And a number ofothers all thought they had the witness. So I thought, “Well whoam I to think that I’m always right and the others are wrong?Maybe they do have the mind of the Lord.”From the time I considered this, I was ill. My leg plagued me. It’sdifficult to discuss this without bringing people into it, becausepeople were involved. And the people were wrong. One brother said he felt it was God, I should come and live inSavannah. He would be the supporting co-pastor when I wasaway and look after the people. He talked about it but he nevercame… never came near me. Somebody else declared they had awitness they thought was God.And for once, I was surrendering on what I’ve always moved on,the voice that spoke to me. So I thought, “Well, maybe I’m wrong,so listen —.” The more I listened, the sicker I got. I ran out ofshoulders, I’ve only got two. And at 4:00 in the morning, I wasin such pain, I couldn’t lie in the bed.I went home and brought my wife over to look at the building inSavannah. And she very graciously said, “Well, if you feel to come,Arthur, I’ll fit in with you.” She didn’t oppose me. She didn’t fightme. And all the time, I was getting sicker and sicker! Finally, there wasto be a Convention in Savannah. Big Convention… The brotherwho was going to be co-pastor and the others, they’d arrangedit. Norman and I left Naples, Florida early in the morning to202
