It seemed, at <strong>the</strong> time, as if Jim had successfully po<strong>in</strong>tedSteve to <strong>the</strong> Lord, and for a few weeks, we had peace.Then our relationship blew up aga<strong>in</strong>. “I’ll br<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> boys <strong>in</strong> andbeat you up!” Steve threatened me.The Lord moved on me and I turned around to Steve. “At thistime, one week from now,” I said, “you will be gone.” I didn’tknow what that meant, but I knew it was a prophetic Word.Steve misunderstood and thought I meant to br<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> some heaviesto beat him up and throw him out. “You try,” he snorted. “I’llbr<strong>in</strong>g my lads <strong>in</strong> and smash your furniture and beat you up. We’llresist every <strong>in</strong>ch of <strong>the</strong> way!”I didn’t understand what <strong>the</strong> Lord <strong>in</strong>tended to do but only knewthat <strong>in</strong> a week Steve would be gone.Dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> follow<strong>in</strong>g week, <strong>the</strong> atmosphere was charged withtension. Fear and hatred <strong>in</strong> his voice, Steve repeatedly threatenedme, and I wondered what was go<strong>in</strong>g to happen. On <strong>the</strong>last night, I thought, “Well, it is only a matter of hours now, ifthat was a Word from God.”Steve came <strong>in</strong> mutter<strong>in</strong>g threats at me. I suppose he thought atany m<strong>in</strong>ute he would be surrounded by a crowd of men whowould throw him out. It was almost midnight, when <strong>the</strong> Lordspoke one Word to me: “Caravan.” At once, I knew what hemeant.“Steve,” I said, “In <strong>the</strong> morn<strong>in</strong>g, I have a new hope for you.” TedRob<strong>in</strong>son, a bro<strong>the</strong>r, had given me a caravan to dispose of, and Iknew God <strong>in</strong>tended for me to give it to Steve. Steve and Brendanow had a new home on wheels given to <strong>the</strong>m without charge,and <strong>the</strong>y happily left us.
