9 Forbid Them NotThe next move of God we experienced completely by-passed theadults and was upon the children in the church. Most of the adultsbecame jealous, doubting it was a true visitation. This dividedthe church. During this time, the Spirit of God would come intothe meetings upon the children and they would fall off their seatsonto the floor. Their limbs would tremble, and with their eyesclosed, they would shout, “Jesus! Jesus!,” disrupting the meetings.Lost in the presence of God, they weren’t aware of anythingaround them.A sovereign act of the Spirit of Godupon the children…At the end of each meeting, I had to get help carrying thosechildren out to my van to drive them home. Their legs drummingagainst the sides of my van, they would shout, “Jesus!”oblivious to where they were. I would deliver them to their homes,carry them up the paths, knock at the doors, and deposit themon a couch or sofa.Maybe it is exciting for a night or two for something of this sortto happen, but after a while, people begin to talk. At the cries ofchildren shouting “Jesus” at 10:30 at night, curtains are raisedand inquisitive eyes peep out.People challenged me to explain these occurrences. “How doyou do it?” they inquired.121
