Some numbers have been deletedThe following notes should be used in conjunction with theaperture cards <strong>and</strong> the annotated aerial photo of the cemetery.Main Drive is an extension of McIntyre Road. The Lich Gate, nowremoved was originally positioned in the middle. For convenienceit has been assumed that McIntyre Road is aligned east – west.Near <strong>and</strong> Far are used to denote distance from the Lich Gate.There are eight main divisions:The plot numbers are generally read like a page, i.e. left to right<strong>and</strong> continued on the line below. The top of each page is usuallynorth; therefore the numbers increase towards the south west.Additional plots that have been inserted have been prefixedwith ‘a’. Aperture cards 80 – 81This is the far north west division. This is the first area to be used. Aperture cards 82 – 83This is the near north west division (The curved paths are difficultto trace.) Aperture cards 84 – 85This is the south west division adjacent to the railway line. Aperture cards 86 – 87This is the near south east division.21
