We were greeted by a well-versed guide whoknew her facts and figures and lead a very interesting anddetailed tour of this most unusual building. There was time after lunch to fit in a brief visit to the BrightonMuseum, housed in enormous premises adjacent to thePavilion, which once provided the most lavish stables for theroyal visitors, entourage and guests. On Thursday 13th June we all enjoyed a very entertaining talkby Gordon Stevenson, Chairman of the Petworth CottageMuseum. He indicated that he would be pleased to comeback in the future and speak on a different topic.Strawberry TeaWe will meet on Thursday 11th July at 2.30pm for ourtraditional Strawberry Tea which will include a bring-and-buysale and will take place in the Bowls Pavilion.Diana White & Sylvia Smithfrom Jean PageJean would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts andprayers, and to say a special thank you to all those who haveso generously taken her to hospital appointments inPortsmouth.
