So its beautiful400 acre grounds provide the perfect location to celebrate thecharity’s achievements over the past 40 years.Su was awarded the CBE in the <strong>2013</strong> New Year’s Honours Listfor her services to people with disabilities in the UK and she hasbeen a tireless champion for the rights of disabled people.Today, United Response is a major national charity, whichsupports young people and adults with learning disabilities,mental health needs and physical disabilities across Englandand Wales. Working with more than 2000 people, the charity is aleading care provider and pioneer for disability equality andinclusion.In Su’s own words "Although we are celebrating 40 years ofUnited Response all over the country, we wanted to have aspecial celebration in West Sussex, where it all began. Thefamily fun day is not only a celebration of United Response’saccomplishments but also a way for us to say thank you to ourmany friends and supporters and hopefully to make some newfriends too. We are delighted that Seaford College – alongstanding supporter of United Response – is hosting this dayfor us”.The fun day will be packed with activities and games for all agesand interests including a bouncy castle, beat the goalie, facepainting, a climbing wall, giant garden games, tractor rides andmuch more. In addition, there will be a number of competitionsfor the community to get involved in including best cake and bestshot at clay pigeon shooting and archery. For those looking for abite to eat there will be an array of tasty food and drink availableincluding cream teas, a BBQ and of course a birthday cake!
