Graffham Parish CouncilFreedom of InformationAll Parish Councils are obliged to advise their parishioners about arange of Information relating to the Council so that individualparishioners can access information as required.Graffham Parish Council will be putting comprehensive informationon its website [www.graffham.info] shortly. It is recognised that noteveryone has access to the web so additional information will beposted on the main noticeboard outside the Empire Hall.The categories of information involved comes under the followingheadings;1. The services we offerMartin BuckleyFreedom of Information OfficerBroadbandWest Sussex Better Connected ProjectGraffham Parish Council has made an enquiry to the West SussexBetter Connected Project and it has been confirmed that Graffhamis within the intervention area eligible for funding by the project.The aim of the West Sussex Better Connected Project reflects thecentral government ambition to ensure that with a combination ofcommercial (private) and public funding, 90% of premises acrossthe country have access to “superfast” NGA broadband (24Mbpsand above) with the remaining 10% having access to speeds ofbetween 2Mbps and 24Mbps.10
This is a complex project and involves wide-scale infrastructuredeployment, which means that there are areas across West Sussexwhich will be delivered earlier than others. There will be severaloverlapping roll-out phases across the county. Working within your owncapabilities, the aim of the class will be to mobilise the body andstrengthen muscles to help with activities for daily living as well asimproving health and feelings of general well being.The class is for both men and women and will be run by LorraineElsden, a GP referral qualified Fitness Instructor.
