Agriculture.The Press was sold by <strong>the</strong> founder to C. P. and W. E. Mockin 1878. In 1879 <strong>the</strong>y sold to Z. D. French-, and in 1880 <strong>the</strong> paperwas owned by A. C. Clippinger and E. E. Jones. W. R. Carltoncontrolled <strong>the</strong> Press for a short time in 1881, followed by T. H.Seed. From 1902-1914 James I. Wagner was <strong>the</strong> owner, selling toL. M. Wood who was in charge until 1922. In 1923 <strong>the</strong> paperwas purchased by a corporation and is now under a new ownership.The Press is <strong>the</strong> oldest paper in Lawrence County and is Republicanin politics. It is published every Thursday. Mildred E.
