KOC Appoints Former Employees to Oil Sector ServicesAccording To KPC Plan, Company NeedKOC began procedures to appoint 758 persons transferred from the Oil SectorServices Company (OSSC) in the aftermath of a recent decision to dissolve it.DCEO for Administrative & Financial Affairs and Official KOC Spokesman SaadRashed Al-Azmi said that the first batch of employees was limited to Securityand Firefighting staff and that another group of different specializations willfollow.Al-Azmi affirmed KOC’s eagerness to embed former OSSC personnel, basedon the need and domains available in the Company and in respect of theKPC’s adopted plan for their distribution to oil companies.“The appointment procedures and contracts-signing for their recruitment arefacilitated according to the fulfillment of KOC employment conditions andrequirements” Al-Azmi stated.Landfill Facilities For Hydrocarbon Contaminated SoilNew Contract Between KOC And Al-Baddah Co.A contract have been signed between KOC and Naser Mohammad Al-Baddah & Partner for General Trading & Contracting Company chargingthe latter with building landfill facilities for Hydrocarbon contaminatedsoil (Group A).The contract was signed for KOC by SEO Hashem S. Hashem andfor the contracting company by its Chairman Naser Al-Baddah. Thecontract-signing ceremony was attended by a number of senior officialsfrom both sides.The contract was signed in respect of the Environmental RehabilitationProgram Under United Nations Legislation For Indemnification.Soil Remediation TL (Projects 2) Faris Al-Mansouri told Energy that theContract was highly important for soil remediation in S&EK Directorateand the interest accorded to the Program within the State of Kuwait.Al-Mansouri labeled the project as a good starting for the implementationof soil remediation and a key milestone for the development of the KERPand wished the new partners success within the HSE and time-boundexpectations in order for the KERP (Kuwait Environmental RemediationProgram) to achieve its desired objectives.6
