KOC Appoints Former Employees to <strong>Oil</strong> Sector ServicesAccording To KPC Plan, <strong>Company</strong> NeedKOC began procedures to appoint 758 persons transferred from the <strong>Oil</strong> SectorServices <strong>Company</strong> (OSSC) in the aftermath of a recent decision to dissolve it.DCEO for Administrative & Financial Affairs and Official KOC Spokesman SaadRashed Al-Azmi said that the first batch of employees was limited to Securityand Firefighting staff and that another group of different specializations willfollow.Al-Azmi affirmed KOC’s eagerness to embed former OSSC personnel, basedon the need and domains available in the <strong>Company</strong> and in respect of theKPC’s adopted plan for their distribution to oil companies.“The appointment procedures and contracts-signing for their recruitment arefacilitated according to the fulfillment of KOC employment conditions andrequirements” Al-Azmi stated.Landfill Facilities For Hydrocarbon Contaminated SoilNew Contract Between KOC And Al-Baddah Co.A contract have been signed between KOC and Naser Mohammad Al-Baddah & Partner for General Trading & Contracting <strong>Company</strong> chargingthe latter with building landfill facilities for Hydrocarbon contaminatedsoil (Group A).The contract was signed for KOC by SEO Hashem S. Hashem andfor the contracting company by its Chairman Naser Al-Baddah. Thecontract-signing ceremony was attended by a number of senior officialsfrom both sides.The contract was signed in respect of the Environmental RehabilitationProgram Under United Nations Legislation For Indemnification.Soil Remediation TL (Projects 2) Faris Al-Mansouri told Energy that theContract was highly important for soil remediation in S&EK Directorateand the interest accorded to the Program within the State of <strong>Kuwait</strong>.Al-Mansouri labeled the project as a good starting for the implementationof soil remediation and a key milestone for the development of the KERPand wished the new partners success within the HSE and time-boundexpectations in order for the KERP (<strong>Kuwait</strong> Environmental RemediationProgram) to achieve its desired objectives.6
