<strong>Benefits</strong> BULLETINOctober 2010The Annual <strong>Enrollment</strong> period <strong>for</strong> <strong>2011</strong> benefits is November 1 through November 12.It’s time to review your retiree medical benefits <strong>for</strong> the upcoming <strong>2011</strong> benefit plan year.Please review the enclosed materials:■ ■ Your Annual <strong>Enrollment</strong> Worksheet — Shows your <strong>2011</strong> benefit options and monthly costs <strong>for</strong> yourretiree medical plan coverage.■■Medicare Prescription Drug Notice of Non-Creditable Coverage — States that the <strong>Newport</strong> <strong>News</strong>Represented Retiree Prescription Drug Plan is not considered creditable coverage (meaning it’s notas good as or better than the standard Medicare Part D/Medicare Rx benefit). See below <strong>for</strong> moredetails on Medicare prescription drug coverage. If you are not yet eligible <strong>for</strong> Medicare, pleasedisregard this notice — it does not apply to you.■■Women’s Health and Cancer Rights Act of 1998 (WHCRA) Notice — Describes your rights if you oryour dependent has a mastectomy.Prescription Drug CoverageParticipants in the Northrop Grumman <strong>Newport</strong> <strong>News</strong> Represented retiree medical plan are eligible <strong>for</strong>two prescription drug benefits:■■■■Coverage under the Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield plan, and it is considered creditable coverage.Anthem will be mailing a Notice of Creditable Coverage to all participants, regardless of Medicareeligibility. Please note that your retiree medical plan and Anthem prescription drug coverage endswhen you become eligible <strong>for</strong> Medicare.Coverage under the <strong>Newport</strong> <strong>News</strong> Represented Retiree Prescription Drug Plan (a prescription drugdiscount plan administered by Express Scripts), and this coverage is not considered creditablecoverage, based on federal guidelines. This benefit will continue at no cost to you when you becomeeligible <strong>for</strong> Medicare.Please carefully review the Notice of Creditable Coverage that you receive from Anthem, as well as theenclosed Notice of Non-Creditable Coverage <strong>for</strong> the <strong>Newport</strong> <strong>News</strong> Represented Prescription DrugPlan, <strong>for</strong> more in<strong>for</strong>mation and important details. You will receive these notices on an annual basis.over


Making Changes During <strong>Enrollment</strong>If you are satisfied with your current retiree medical coverage and you don’t want tomake any changes <strong>for</strong> <strong>2011</strong>, you do not need to do anything. Your benefits will continueeffective January 1, <strong>2011</strong>.If you would like to make changes to your benefits, you can either:■■■■Go to <strong>Benefits</strong> OnLine at http://benefits.northropgrumman.com and log in to My <strong>Benefits</strong>Access during the Annual <strong>Enrollment</strong> period. Enter your User ID and Password when prompted(if you are logging on <strong>for</strong> the first time, you will need to set up your User ID and Password); orCall the Northrop Grumman <strong>Benefits</strong> Center (NGBC) at 1-800-894-4194. If you are callingfrom outside the United States, please call 718-354-1338. <strong>Benefits</strong> service representativesare available to assist you Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern time,excluding holidays. If you are hearing impaired, you will need to use a relay service through yourTTY/TDD service provider.Payment OptionsIn most cases, the way you pay <strong>for</strong> your retiree medical coverage through Northrop Grummanisn’t changing. Either the cost of your medical plan option will continue to be deducted fromyour pension or you will receive a monthly bill. However, if your pension payment is no longersufficient to cover the new costs of the plan you elect, you will automatically be switched todirect bill payment.If you receive a bill <strong>for</strong> your retiree medical coverage, you must pay it even if you previouslyhad pension deduction. You can simplify the process <strong>for</strong> paying your monthly bill. If you receivea bill <strong>for</strong> your retiree medical coverage, you can set up direct debit to have the monthly costautomatically debited from your checking or savings account. If you would like to have yourcost <strong>for</strong> coverage deducted from your checking or savings account, please call the NGBC at1-800-894-4194 and request a Direct Debit Authorization Form.QuestionsIf you have questions, please call the NGBC at 1-800-894-4194.
