Ledby Wen Weiping, MDx South Region Sales Manager, the group brought educational materials to the children in animpoverished region of the province.梦 想 在 书 海 起 航——GE 广 州 志 愿 者 拜 访 木 金 小 学5 月 31 日 ,GE 医 疗 广 州 分 部 一 行 15 人 在 医 疗 诊 断 部 (MDx) 南 区 销 售 经 理 温 卫 平 的 带 领 下 , 来 到 了 位 于 江 西 省 全 南 县金 龙 镇 的 木 金 小 学 , 为 那 里 的 孩 子 们 送 去 了 温 暖 。金 龙 镇 地 处 偏 远 山 区 , 木 金 小 学 师 生 们 的 生 活 环 境 非 常 艰 苦 , 饮 食 状 况 极 差 , 教 室 、 体 育 场 等 配 套 硬 件 设 施 条 件 也 很 不齐 全 , 而 急 需 汲 取 知 识 的 小 学 生 们 所 必 需 的 图 书 馆 尤 为 简 陋 。 曾 经 数 次 参 观 过 木 金 小 学 的 温 卫 平 对 这 里 的 情 况 十 分 了 解 ,心 中 强 烈 的 社 会 责 任 感 促 使 他 在 GE 医 疗 内 部 发 起 了 “ 爱 心 活 动 ”, 为 木 金 小 学 进 行 募 捐 。 此 举 得 到 了 包 括 GE 家 电 、 医疗 及 能 源 等 业 务 部 门 员 工 的 强 烈 响 应 和 大 力 支 持 , 在 极 短 时 间 内 便 募 得 400 多 本 图 书 以 及 数 百 件 文 具 和 学 习 用 品 。 此 外 ,员 工 们 纷 纷 慷 慨 解 囊 , MDx 经 理 李 庆 甚 至 捐 出 了 总 裁 奖 的 全 额 奖 金 , 共 为 孩 子 们 筹 得 45570 元 的 善 款 。 即 便 是 在 活 动截 止 日 期 之 后 , 仍 有 很 多 员 工 前 来 咨 询 , 想 方 设 法 为 山 区 的 贫 困 小 孩 送 去 一 点 温 暖 , 帮 助 他 们 实 现 读 书 的 梦 想 。Located in a remote mountainous region in the town of Jinlong, where living standards are low, Mujin Primary Schoolhas a difficult time providing its students with the basic necessities of a standardized education. Classrooms are bareand boring and the shabby library lacks enough books to feed the students’ hunger for knowledge. Having witnessedthese harsh conditions, Wen’s sense of social responsibility drove him to initiate a special program that included abook drive and money donations to improve the school’s facilities. Employees at GE Appliances, Corporate, Healthcare,Energy and more were quick to contribute, donating 400 books and hundred of stationery items. Monetary donationstotaled 45,570 RMB, with a large chunk coming from MDx General Manager Li Qing’s Chairman Award. Even after thedonation drive ended, employees were eager to help.With the help of the local government, Wen began transforming the school, which involved the construction of a“Hand in Hand” library for the donated books which will help the children sail off into an ocean of knowledge. Wen alsopurchased new ping pong tables and built a playground.At the event, Li gave a speech conveying the sincerity and commitment of GE in helping the children. Soon after, Wenand his colleagues told stories and shared experiences with the children, he also encouraged them to study hard tomake life both meaningful and enjoyable. Again, we express our gratitude to every employee who helped. Every singledonation and every book can help the children thrive, and the love from employees will accompany the children’sgrowth. We hope more GE employees will contribute to this special program, passing along our love and care to everychild in need.在 当 地 政 府 部 门 的 配 合 下 , 温 卫 平 带 领 GE 医 疗 团 队 开 始 了 对 木 金 小 学 的 全 方 面 改 造 , 他 们 为 孩 子 们 新 建 了 “ 手 拉 手 书 屋 ”,将 员 工 们 捐 献 和 购 置 的 书 籍 整 齐 地 摆 放 在 书 架 上 , 让 这 些 图 书 陪 伴 孩 子 们 在 知 识 的 海 洋 中 乘 风 破 浪 扬 帆 远 航 。 同 时 他 们还 为 学 校 购 买 了 崭 新 的 乒 乓 球 台 并 建 造 了 硬 化 操 场 , 让 孩 子 们 能 够 在 课 余 时 间 更 方 便 的 锻 炼 身 体 , 嬉 戏 玩 耍 , 茁 壮 健 康地 成 长 。在 当 天 的 活 动 中 , 李 庆 真 挚 的 开 场 致 辞 打 动 了 每 个 在 场 的 师 生 , 大 家 都 深 深 地 感 受 到 了 GE 在 帮 助 贫 困 儿 童 上 的 真 诚 与投 入 。 随 后 , 温 卫 平 还 和 同 事 们 一 起 为 学 生 们 上 了 一 堂 课 , 给 他 们 讲 故 事 、 分 享 人 生 阅 历 , 并 鼓 励 他 们 努 力 学 习 知 识 ,要 让 人 生 变 得 充 实 而 精 彩 。 我 们 再 次 感 谢 为 木 金 小 学 提 供 帮 助 的 每 一 位 员 工 , 每 笔 捐 助 每 本 书 籍 都 是 孩 子 们 成 长 所 需 要的 和 风 细 雨 , 每 个 人 的 爱 心 都 会 伴 随 着 孩 子 们 的 成 长 而 熠 熠 发 光 。 同 时 我 们 也 希 望 将 来 会 有 更 多 的 GE 员 工 参 与 到 “ 爱心 活 动 ” 中 , 让 我 们 的 爱 心 延 续 下 去 , 让 阳 光 洒 遍 每 一 个 需 要 关 爱 的 角 落 !69 GE & MEGE & ME 70
