我 们 的 社 区 Our CommunityGE 成 都 志 愿 者 为 自 闭 症 儿 童 传 递 爱 心GE Chengdu Volunteers Show TheirCare for Autistic Children为 了 在 儿 童 节 来 临 之 际 向 患 有 自 闭 症 的 儿 童 表 达 爱 心 ,GE 成 都 的 志 愿 者 们 自 5 月 初 起 就 开 始 筹 备 义 卖 活 动 。 截 止 5 月 底 , 共 有 近50 位 同 事 参 与 义 卖 活 动 , 共 筹 得 3860 元 人 民 币 。 所 得 款 项 将 为 成 都 锦 江 区 心 爱 星 儿 童 能 力 训 练 中 心 购 买 一 架 电 子 钢 琴 、 一 套 户外 音 响 和 麦 克 风 , 一 套 感 觉 系 统 康 复 训 练 用 具 以 及 一 套 奥 尔 夫 乐 器 , 不 足 款 项 由 志 愿 者 自 发 补 足 。5 月 31 日 ,25 位 GE 员 工 来 到 锦 江 区 心 爱 星 儿 童 能 力 训 练 中 心 , 和 中 心 的 自 闭 症 儿 童 及 家 长 共 同 参 加 儿 童 节 亲 子 活 动 。 活 动 开 始 前 ,志 愿 者 们 简 单 学 习 了 如 何 与 自 闭 症 儿 童 沟 通 的 技 巧 。 随 后 与 孩 子 们 一 起 玩 了 老 鹰 捉 小 鸡 等 游 戏 , 现 场 热 闹 而 温 馨 。 和 普 通 孩 子 一 样 ,训 练 中 心 的 孩 子 同 样 喜 欢 唱 歌 跳 舞 、 喜 欢 玩 手 机 游 戏 。 有 些 孩 子 和 志 愿 者 一 见 如 故 , 在 活 动 结 束 时 , 依 依 不 舍 , 不 愿 让 志 愿 者 离 去 ,这 让 很 多 年 轻 的 志 愿 者 感 动 不 已 。与 孩 子 们 面 对 面 的 交 流 和 互 动 让 志 愿 者 们 感 受 到 了 孩 子 们 的 聪 颖 活 泼 , 天 真 可 爱 ; 同 时 , 也 体 会 到 康 复 中 心 的 老 师 对 孩 子 们 所 付出 的 超 乎 寻 常 的 耐 心 和 责 任 心 。 志 愿 者 们 真 挚 地 祝 愿 孩 子 们 能 够 早 日 恢 复 健 康 , 迎 来 生 命 更 灿 烂 的 绽 放 。In celebration of Children’s Day, 50 GE Chengdu volunteers held a donation drive raising a total of 3,860 RMB at the end of May. Thefunds were used to purchase an electronic piano and a set of outdoor audio equipment, all of which were donated to the Xin AixingAutistic Children Training Center in Jinjiang, Chengdu. The remaining funds, together with the extra cash donated by some volunteerswere all spent on a set of sensory training tools and Orff musical instruments.On May 31, around 25 volunteers came to the Xin Aixing Autistic Children Training Center to spend time with the children. The teachersgave a brief introduction on the ways to communicate with autistic children. During game time, volunteers enjoyed playing thechicken game with the children. The children in the training center also enjoyed singing and dancing, and playing games on mobiledevices. Some children made friends with volunteers, and even refused to let them leave at the end of the day. The children’s trust andinnocence made many young volunteers feel touched.The volunteers were collectively impressed by the children’s aptitude as well as the patience the teachers displayed towards thechildren. Everyone who attended wished each child a bright and promising future.动 物 园 梦 幻 大 冒 险——GE 航 空 志 愿 者 与 小 朋 友 共 享 美 好 时 光Dream Day at the Zoo— GE Aviation Volunteers Organize Another Great Event5 月 26 日 ,GE 中 国 航 空 志 愿 者 协 会 联 手 上 海 慈 善 总 会 、 上 海动 物 园 、 上 海 美 国 商 会 等 一 同 发 起 名 为 “ 动 物 园 梦 幻 大 冒 险 ”的 活 动 , 组 织 几 十 位 弱 势 儿 童 在 上 海 动 物 园 尽 兴 游 玩 一 天 。 因为 考 虑 到 孩 子 当 中 有 孤 儿 、 流 动 儿 童 和 残 疾 儿 童 , 志 愿 者 们 将活 动 的 每 个 环 节 都 尽 量 安 排 得 舒 适 温 馨 , 让 孩 子 们 能 够 在 轻 松愉 悦 的 氛 围 中 提 前 迎 接 儿 童 节 的 到 来 。活 动 中 , 每 家 公 司 分 别 负 责 照 顾 一 批 儿 童 , 为 确 保 孩 子 安 全 ,每 个 孩 子 由 一 个 志 愿 者 专 门 照 看 。 活 动 当 天 天 气 晴 朗 舒 适 , 志愿 者 和 孩 子 们 开 展 了 乐 趣 无 穷 的 动 物 园 寻 宝 之 旅 。 在 游 戏 开 始前 , 每 一 个 小 组 都 领 到 一 张 印 有 谜 语 的 传 单 , 每 个 谜 底 都 打 一个 动 物 ; 孩 子 们 不 仅 要 自 己 猜 出 谜 底 , 还 要 在 动 物 园 内 找 到 相应 的 动 物 。 虽 然 游 戏 难 度 不 小 , 孩 子 们 却 玩 儿 得 兴 致 盎 然 。 尤其 是 当 看 到 一 些 诸 如 斑 马 、 棕 熊 等 稀 有 动 物 时 , 孩 子 们 更 显 示出 了 极 大 的 好 奇 心 , 不 断 地 向 志 愿 者 们 询 问 这 些 动 物 的 习 性 特征 , 还 不 时 被 动 物 们 滑 稽 的 动 作 逗 得 哈 哈 大 笑 。下 午 三 点 半 , 大 家 回 到 出 发 地 , 一 边 享 用 着 活 动 组 织 者 贴 心 送上 的 面 包 和 果 汁 , 一 边 等 待 节 目 的 上 演 。 在 一 曲 充 满 动 感 的 舞蹈 过 后 , 节 目 正 式 拉 开 帷 幕 , 魔 术 、 口 技 、 杂 技 、 武 术 等 精 彩节 目 牢 牢 抓 住 孩 子 们 的 眼 球 。 最 后 , 表 演 者 们 向 孩 子 们 讲 述 了保 护 动 物 的 重 要 性 , 让 孩 子 们 在 享 受 娱 乐 的 同 时 也 对 自 然 和 动物 有 了 更 深 层 次 的 认 识 。The various companies each oversaw a different group ofchildren and were responsible for showing them around thezoo and ensuring that the day was as fun and interesting aspossible. Clear skies and beautiful weather made for an excellentexperience and helped make the zoo-wide scavenger hunt ahuge success. During the hunt, a series of riddles each pertainingto an animal were handed out. The children had to solve theriddles and find the corresponding animals. The game provided afun and challenging experience for the children and allowed themto come face to face with a number of exotic animals includingzebras, brown bears, and a menagerie of others. The childrendisplayed great curiosity by asking volunteers about differentanimals and their cute postures brought on plenty of laughter.During the day’s activities the children also enjoyed baggedlunches before being treated to a special performance of dance,magic, song and kung-fu. The performance also served as anopportunity to teach the children important lessons about animalprotection and animal preservation awareness.On May 26, GE Aviation China Volunteer Council, in cooperationwith the Shanghai Charity Foundation, Shanghai Zoo, AmericanChamber of Commerce in Shanghai and other corporations,launched a special project: Dream Day at the Zoo. The projectbrought disadvantaged children—orphans, migrant children anddisabled children—to the Shanghai Zoo for a fun-filled day ofanimal watching and a specially prepared VIP experience.65 GE & MEGE & ME 66
