我 们 的 社 区 Our Community开 心 六 一 快 乐 做 主It’s a Celebration of Children’s Day!六 一 游 园 乐 开 怀Journey to the Zoo六 一 前 夕 ,GE 家 电 与 照 明 集 团 与 育 红 小 学 及 曹 王 小 学 共 同 举 办 了 主 题 为 “ 同 样 的 领 巾 , 同样 的 欢 乐 ” 的 庆 祝 会 , 陪 伴 孩 子 们 度 过 了 一 个 快 乐 开 心 的 节 日 。 当 天 , 校 方 还 特 意 邀 请了 镇 教 委 领 导 及 家 长 们 , 与 孩 子 们 一 同 分 享 节 日 的 快 乐 。6 月 2 日 ,GE 无 锡 志 愿 者 一 行 62 人 来 到 无 锡 市 社 会 福 利 中 心 ,带 领 21 位 福 利 院 宝 宝 们 一 同 前 往 无 锡 动 物 园 游 玩 , 陪 伴 孩 子 们度 过 了 一 个 意 义 非 凡 的 六 一 节 。On June 2, 62 GEvolunteers from GE Wuxi hub accompanied 21 children fromWuxi Social Welfare Center to the Wuxi Zoo for Children’s Day.在 节 日 的 烘 托 下 , 整 个 会 场 充 满 了 欢 乐 的 气 氛 ,2000 余 名 师 生 在 这 个 盛 大 的 节 日 中其 乐 融 融 。GE 亚 太 区 家 电 与 照 明 集 团 首 席 财 务 官 Arun Kumar 亲 临 现 场 致 开 幕 词 ,并 为 在 学 校 起 到 模 范 带 头 作 用 以 及 做 出 突 出 贡 献 的 学 生 颁 发 了 奖 品 。 志 愿 者 更 是 为 孩子 们 奉 上 了 精 彩 的 节 目 。 伴 着 “head, shoulder, knees, and toes” 的 轻 快 节 奏 , 志 愿 者 与孩 子 们 跳 起 了 俏 皮 的 英 文 健 康 操 。 孩 子 们 认 真 模 仿 的 表 情 以 及 惟 妙 惟 肖 的 表 演 , 赢 得 了 现场 观 众 的 阵 阵 掌 声 。 孩 子 们 也 不 甘 落 后 , 他 们 精 心 准 备 了 丰 富 多 彩 的 节 目 , 如 舞 蹈 、 小 品 、 合 唱 等 ,无 一 不 打 动 着 在 场 每 一 位 志 愿 者 的 心 , 似 乎 把 每 个 人 都 带 到 了 纯 真 的 孩 提 时 代 。除 了 精 彩 的 节 目 外 , 志 愿 者 们 还 开 展 了 “ 践 雷 锋 精 神 , 争 四 好 少 年 ” 的 校 园 博 爱 爱 心 义 卖 活 动 。 志 愿 者 们 捐 出 了 大 量 的 书 籍 和 运动 器 材 , 给 可 爱 的 孩 子 们 送 去 了 节 日 的 喜 悦 。在 活 动 结 束 时 ,GE 志 愿 者 与 孩 子 们 合 影 留 念 , 将 这 一 天 的 开 心 保 存 在 这 一 瞬 , 给 孩 子 们 一 个 幸 福 的 畅 想 , 也 为 志 愿 者 们 凝 注 了 一个 回 忆 的 瞬 间 。 希 望 孩 子 们 在 阳 光 雨 露 的 滋 润 下 , 可 以 茁 壮 成 长 , 描 绘 出 属 于 自 己 的 美 好 未 来 。To celebrate Children's Day, GE Appliances & Lighting Business held a party themed “Same Red Scarf, Same Happiness” with Yuhongand Caowang primary schools days before the festinval, bringing joy to the students. Parents and leaders from the local educationcommission were invited to enjoy the party as well.More than 2,000 students and teachers attended the party. Arun Kumar, Chief Financial Officer of GE Appliances & Lighting Asia, kickedoff the event with a speech, and presented awards to students who set good examples or had excellent school performance. GEvolunteers also prepared an engaging program. With the lively rhythm of “head, shoulders, knees, and toes”, volunteers and childrenperformed a silly dance that brought on huge amounts of laughter. Dances, simple drama performances, and chorus songs broughtback fond memories from the volunteers’ childhoods.The volunteers also held a charity bazaar to donate books and sports equipment to the children in order to instill the spirit of Lei Fengand encourage children to be ambitious and pursue an all-round development.As the party ended, GE volunteers and children took a group photo, a reminder of the great time everyone had that day. GE hopes thechildren will grow up happy and healthy, while bravely pursuing their dreams in the future.一 大 早 , 志 愿 者 来 到 福 利 院 接 宝 宝 。 刚 一 到 楼 下 , 满 怀 期 待 的宝 宝 们 就 已 经 向 志 愿 者 张 开 了 双 手 , 投 入 到 志 愿 者 的 怀 抱 。 志愿 者 也 立 刻 投 入 到 角 色 中 , 认 真 地 当 起 了 孩 子 们 的 临 时 “ 爸 妈 ”,领 着 宝 宝 们 兴 高 采 烈 地 前 往 动 物 园 。到 达 动 物 园 后 , 志 愿 者 们 根 据 福 利 院 宝 宝 的 情 况 , 自 动 分 组 组成 临 时 家 庭 , 乘 坐 动 物 园 的 小 火 车 , 带 领 宝 宝 们 开 始 他 们 的 动物 探 寻 之 旅 。 动 物 区 域 是 最 吸 引 孩 子 的 地 方 。 孩 子 们 瞪 大 好 奇的 眼 睛 到 处 探 寻 , 不 管 是 认 识 的 动 物 还 是 不 认 识 的 动 物 , 如 火烈 鸟 、 犀 牛 、 大 象 、 熊 猫 、 狒 狒 等 , 孩 子 们 都 争 先 恐 后 地 询 问 ,仔 细 观 察 。 在 参 观 的 过 程 中 , 大 朋 友 悉 心 照 料 小 朋 友 , 小 朋 友跟 着 大 朋 友 学 知 识 , 其 乐 融 融 。 除 了 参 观 动 物 外 , 孩 子 们 还 观看 了 动 物 园 的 马 戏 表 演 。 憨 态 可 掬 的 黑 熊 、 山 羊 、 鹦 鹉 、 猴 子等 动 物 的 精 彩 表 演 , 逗 得 孩 子 们 哈 哈 大 笑 , 前 仰 后 合 。参 观 完 动 物 园 后 , 志 愿 者 们 带 着 宝 宝 们 来 到 了 游 乐 区 , 陪 伴 孩子 们 将 旋 转 木 马 、 碰 碰 车 、 滑 梯 等 游 乐 设 施 一 一 玩 了 个 遍 , 游乐 场 充 满 了 欢 声 笑 语 。 为 了 确 保 孩 子 们 的 安 全 , 志 愿 者 们 满 头大 汗 地 紧 跟 在 孩 子 们 后 面 , 但 看 到 宝 宝 们 脸 上 灿 烂 的 笑 容 , 志愿 者 们 也 乐 开 了 花 。欢 乐 的 时 光 是 短 暂 的 , 活 动 圆 满 结 束 后 , 志 愿 者 们 护 送 福 利 院的 宝 宝 们 安 全 回 家 。 分 别 时 刻 总 是 难 舍 的 , 福 利 院 的 宝 宝 们 不 舍 ,志 愿 者 们 更 是 不 舍 。 相 处 的 时 间 虽 然 短 暂 , 但 是 感 情 的 种 子 却已 在 心 田 悄 然 种 下 , 希 望 在 不 久 的 将 来 我 们 还 会 再 相 聚 !Volunteers arrived bright and early to pick up the children for afun filled day. After entering the center’s doors, the children threwthemselves into each volunteer’s arms. Then it was off to the zoo.After arriving at the zoo, GE volunteers and the children weredivided into groups to tour the zoo. The children were allimpressed and excited to see all the different animals in varioushabitats, with question after question excitedly coming out oftheir tiny mouths. Aside from providing the children with thechance to enjoy a day with fun adults, the children also learnedabout all kinds of wildlife from around the world. The childrenalso enjoyed a circus performance where little black bears, goats,parrots and monkeys put on an entertaining performance for theaudience.After visiting the zoo, volunteers watched the children as theyenjoyed the many rides in the zoo, including a merry-go-round,bumper cars and children’s slide. Volunteers watched over eachchild carefully, as if they were their own. Although many of thevolunteers were dripping with sweat from trying to keep up withthe children, they were rewarded with the sunny smiles on eachof the children’s faces.As the activity wrapped up, volunteers carried the children,many of them tired from a long day of fun, back tothe center. Both adults and children were sad to saygoodbye to each other. While the time together wasshort, the memories and feelings of satisfaction will staywith them for a long time.61 GE & MEGE & ME 62
