An updated edition is beingundertaken.The Microsoft ProjectA stylesheet, terminology glossaries and PoliCheck were prepared for theMicrosoft company’s current localised project Windows 7 and Office 7.The IATE ProjectThis is a project run by FIONTAR on contract from the Department of Arts,Heritage and the Gaeltacht and the Committee was asked to carry out aquality assurance on each new term. Research was carried out on more than2,000 concepts for this project and the Committee approved 2,336 Irishterms.EAFT (European Association for Terminology)The Secretary was operating as President of this association up to February2009. As a representative of the EAFT she gave talks at seminars in France,Portugal and Slovenia during 2009.ISO/TC37The Secretary attended meetings of TC37 (an ISO technical committee inrespect of terminology standards) and functioned as a representative of theChairperson of Sub-Committee 1 of TC37 when the meetings of the Subcommitteewere in Bogota in August. She completed the editorial work onISO 704 (Terminology Work – Principles and Methods) which ISO willpublish in 2010.
