Among the events wereÉigse Beo, from which there would be five radio programmes on R.T.É., theDylan Project and Lions in Captivity, works of major Russian poetstranslated into Irish and English. Those two items were recorded forbroadcast on R.T.É. radio.IMRAM continues to commission new work. Biddy Jenkinson read a newstory based on Dineen and Alan Titley gave a lecture which he had preparedespecially for the occasion. Translations and new versions of major Russianpoets were commissioned for Lions in Captivity. <strong>The</strong> three poets Nuala NíDhomhnaill, Tomás Mac Síomóin and Paula Meehan spent three eveningsrehearsing with Jackie Leven, Michael Cosgrave and Sean Óg McErlaneconnecting poetry to music and sound.<strong>The</strong> well known musician / producer Steve Cooney did remarkable newarrangements of Bob Dylan songs which greatly enlivened the finetranslations which Gabriel Rosenstock and Colm Breathnach had done for theDylan Project. When this was being produced, the Irish version of the lyricswas projected on to a screen, which was extremely effective and allowed thespectators to sing along with Liam Uí Mhaonlaí and Caoimhín Mac GiollaCatháin.Among the events in <strong>2009</strong> was a tribute night to Máire Mhac an tSaoi, amajor reading by Maidhc Dainín Ó Sé, Jackie Mac Donncha and Collette NíGhallchóir and a Musical Event: <strong>The</strong> Dylan Project.<strong>The</strong> Dublin Book FestivalThis was the second year of the Dublin Book Festival which was organisedby Foilsiú Éireann (Publishing Ireland) – Clár na Leabhar Gaeilge. Thisbilingual festival took place through the weekend of 6, 7 and 8 Marchsupported by Foras na Gaeilge through the Irish Books Programme.
