A sealed Tender is invited for “SUPPLY AND STACKING OF S/CHIPS 13.20MM DOWNWARDSAND COARSE SAND BETWEEN KM 3.00 TO 5.50 ON TURTUK – ZINKPAL ROAD FOR RESURFACINGWORK ON ROAD TURTUK ZINKPAL OF 54 RCC UNDER 16 BRTF (P) HMK IN LEH-LADAKH REGIONOF J & K STATE”2. The tender documents may be downloaded from BRO website www.bro.gov.in or www.bro.nic.in andprint out is to be taken on A4 size paper. It is advisable the downloaded tender documents to be printedthrough laser printer only. Submission of Xerox copy or photo copy of tender is not permitted.3. The work is estimated to cost Rs.2.1 lacs (Rupees two lakhs ten thousand only) approximately. Theestimate, however, is not a guarantee and is merely given as a rough guide and if works costs more or less,tenderere shall have no claim on that account of what so ever nature.4. The tender shall be based on drawing, specification, General Condition of contracts IAFW-1815Z andspecial conditions, particular specifications with Schedule ‘A’ (List of works) to be priced by Tenderers .5. Not more than one tender shall be submitted by one contractor or one firm of contractors. Under nocircumstances will a father or his son(s) or other close relations who have business dealings with one another willbe allowed to tender for the same contract as separate competitors. A breach of this condition will render thetender of both parties liable to rejection.6. The work is to be completed within 45 days in accordance with the phasing, if any, indicated in thetender form the date of handing over the site, which will be within one month from the date of issue ofacceptance letter. The Commander, HQ 16 Border Roads Task Force, will be Accepting Officer here-in-after referred to assuch for the purpose of this contract.8. Tender (in full) either downloaded from BRO website or issued by BRO will be received by HQ 16 BRTF,C/O 56 APO up to 1500 Hrs of 28 Jul 2012.9. Intending tenderers are advised to visit BRO website three days prior to date of opening of tender forany corrigendum/addendum/amendment. Tender received after due date shall not be considered foropening and no reason for delay or claim whatsoever shall be entertained.10. The Tender shall be accompanied by Earnest Money amounting to Rs.4200/- (Rupeesfour thousand two hundred only) in the form of Deposit at call receipt issued in favour of the Commander,16 Border Roads Task Force, C/O 56 APO by a schedule Bank or in the form of receipt of Treasury Challan, theamount being credited to the revenue deposit of Commander, 16 BRTF, C/O 56 APO. Contractor, who is notenlisted with Border Roads Organization/who is enlisted but has not executed standing security bond, whilesubmitting tender shall be required to furnish earnest money along with the tender.11. Copies of drawings and other documents pertaining to the work required to be signed for the purposeof identification by the Accepting Officer or his accredited representative and sample of materials and storesto be supplied by the contractor will be opened for inspection at the following location:-HQ 16 Border Roads Task Force12. The tenderers are advised to visit the site by making prior appointment with the Commander 16 BRTF,C/O 56 APO.13. Any tender which stipulates any alteration to any of the conditions laid down or proposes any otherconditions of any description whatsoever, is liable to be rejected.15. The Accepting Officer reserves his right to accept a tender submitted by a Public Undertaking, giving aPrice preference over other tender(s), which may lower, as are admissible under the Government Policy. Noclaim for any compensation or otherwise shall be admissible to such tenderer(s) whose tenders may berejected on account of the said policy.16. The submission of the tender by a tenderer implies that he has read this notice and conditions ofcontract and has made himself aware of the scope and specifications of the work to be done and of theconditions and rate at which stores, tools and plants etc will be issued to him and local conditions and otherfactors bearing on the execution of the work.17. Applicant contractor have to attach a demand draft for Rs. 500.00 (Rupees Five hundred only) infavour of The Commander. 16 BRTF (GREF), C/O 56 APO payable at SBI, Leh obtained from anyNationalized/Scheduled Bank valid for Six months with their application as the cost of tender forms/documents.The all applicable Bank charges shall be born by the applicant and he shall not have any claim what so everon this account on Govt. In case of re-tendering, the firms which have submitted the DD in earlier calls willrequire to submit DD along with their application also. Tenderer not accompanied with the cost of tender isliable to be rejected. However, public sector under taking firms are exempted from the payment towards costof tender documents.18. The Demand Draft attached with the application shall be non-refundable if tender documents areissued to the contractor. However, it shall be returned to the applicant by the Accepting Officer in case thetender form is not issued.19. The applicant contractor shall not become automatically entitled for issue of tender by virtue ofenclosing Demand Draft along with the application and the Accepting Officer shall reserve the right to denyissue if tender to any applicant contractor.20. In case of selective tendering or where in adequate applications are received suitable contractor maybe selected and they shall also be asked to forward DD towards the cost of tender. Tender will be issued tosuch contractors only thereafter.21. The Accepting Officer does not bind himself to accept the lowest or any tender or to give any reasonsfor not doing.22. Tenderer who have downloaded the tender from the BRO website shall submit declaration along withtender documents that I/we have downloaded the tender from BRO website www.bro.gov.in orwww.bro.nic.in and I/we have not tempered/modified the tender form in any manner. In case if the same isfound to be tempered/modified in any manner, I/we understand that my/our tender will be summarily rejectedand I/we are liable to be banned from doing business with BRO.23.
