All work of rock cutting byblasting shall be carried out by takingall necessary precautions against soilerosion, damage to hill side, waterpollution etc. and to protect stability ofhill side rock shall be excavated withchiseling and wedging out rock (whereblasting is prohibited). All earth workin excavation including rockexcavation shall be carried out true tolines, grades, side slopes, width,camber, super elevation and level asshown on the drawings. Disposal ofunserviceable cut materials inspecified manner including loading/unloadingupto all leads and lift,trimming/filling of unevenness blindedge and finishing of the road tospecified dimension. If the foundationof the structure is in an area withstagnant water or water is met with inthe excavation due to spring, seepage,rain and other causes it shall beremoved by suitable diversion, bailingout or dewatering and the area of thefoundation or embankment shall bekept dry. Any loss to the public orprivate property during the course ofexcavation shall be the soleresponsibility of the contractor whichshall have to be duly compensated byhim at his own cost in all cases.3.
