Proactive QoS Routing in Ad Hoc Networks 71– Compared to the data packet load, the additional overhead the QoS OLSR versionsintroduce use a large amount of link bandwidth. This overhead is relatively independentof the nominal link bandwidth. We plan to explore whether the use of 802.11b,with up to 11 Mbps data rate, reduces the added network load and the resulting negativeeffect on the delivery ratio and delay.AcknowledgementsThis work is funded by the Defense Research and Development Canada (DRDC) andbenefited from various discussions with members of the CRC RNS mobile networkinggroup.References1.
