Substantialantiviral activity again CMV was also noted for a,b,d,e, while compounds a, b and cproved to be active against VZV replication and they also synthesized 3-[[(hydroxyethyl)thio]methyl]-7-methyl imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine (Type-IV).
