This straight bore designreduces possible damage to seal areas by drilling toolsand prevents test plugs from wedging when pressure isapplied.If a bowl protector is required, the <strong>Crown</strong> <strong>CC</strong>-<strong>29</strong>-BP designis recommended. It has two lock screws in the top flangeto retain the bowl protector. A hold-down flange withlock screws can be furnished for use on <strong>CC</strong>-<strong>29</strong> casingheads.The <strong>CC</strong>-<strong>29</strong>-L has multiple lockdown screws in the topflange to be used for retaining a mandrel hanger or bowlprotector.Main Design and Construction FeaturesBottom Connection: The standard bottom connection is aslip-on weld or female casing thread. Other connectionsavailable are slip lock or male casing thread.Top Connection: The top connection of a <strong>Crown</strong> casinghead is an API 6A flange. A clamp-hub connection isavailable.Side Outlets: The standard casing head has two 2 1 /16”API studded side outlets. Threaded, extended flanged orclamp hub outlets are also available. The studded andflanged outlets have valve removal threads.
