Light and Heavy Vehicle Requirements2. Journey Management3. Driving Rules & LSR Rules4. Driver Competency5. Bus Service between Brisbane and DalbyResponsibilitiesAll PersonnelEnsure they are aware of all relevant driving rules and regulations and comply with them whilstdriving during for, or on behalf of, <strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> in their course of work.1. Light and Heavy Vehicle Requirements• Comply with all of <strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong>’s light vehicle specification requirements (Appendix 1).• Ensure the vehicle has an In Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS).• 5 star ANCAP vehicles does not require Roll Over Protection or Bull Bars to be retro fitted• Hire vehicles must meet the <strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> light vehicle specification requirements. IfIVMS is not provided by the hire car company a portable unit can be booked out via officeservices in Brisbane and the fleet administrators in the North and South Asset.• Heavy vehicles must comply with dangerous goods transport regulations.• Heavy vehicles must comply with heavy vehicle requirements as per the CSG LogisticsSafety Code of Practice.This document is UNCONTROLLED when printed 1/6

Journey Management for Light and Heavy Vehicles• Maximum driving / work hours in any 24 hour period is 12 hours.• Mandatory lodgement with the Journey Management Centre is required for work relatedjourneys that take longer than 1 continuous hour from point of departure to destinationand for work related travel at night after 6.00pm.• JMC number: 07 3012 4900.• Ensure any nominated emergency contact person and supervisor is aware of your traveli.e. destination and times of departure/arrival, contact person at destination, emergencyescalation process.• Calling the JMC is not mandatory if travelling in a convoy which is defined as more thantwo vehicles to the same destination.• No unauthorised passengers allowed in vehicles.3. Driving Rules & LSR Rules for Light and Heavy Vehicles• Comply with all legislated road rules.• Do not exceed <strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong>’s speed limits on an <strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> controlled site as perbelow;The speed limit on an unsealed road that is not externally maintained or owned bya government department/authority on an <strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> controlled site road is60km/h.The speed limit for an unsealed road which is externally maintained and owned bya government department/authority on an <strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> controlled site is 80km/hunless otherwise signposted.Any sign posted speeds for sealed roads that pass through an <strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong>controlled site which are owned by a government department/authority can bedriven up to the sign posted speed.Any speed enforcements as per land access agreements must be adhered to. I.e.drive below 10km/h within 200m of buildings.• Comply with the mandatory 15 minute rest every 2 hours.• Use of privately owned vehicles for work purposes is not permitted. This does not includethe daily commute to and from work.• LSR Rules;• Speeding more than 10% of the speed limit for > 30 seconds will trigger an IVMS eventand constitutes an LSR breach. Speeding for anytime is against the law; <strong>Arrow</strong><strong>Energy</strong>’s expectation is that personnel will not speed at all and drivers will complywith all legislated road rules.• Seatbelts not worn for > 10 seconds while the vehicle is in motion will trigger an IVMSevent and constitutes an LSR breach. This includes while reversing.• Mobile phone use at any time while driving constitutes an LSR breach, this includeshands free kits.• Drug and Alcohol use while driving constitutes an LSR breach.STATUS: ISSUED FOR USE REV: 2This document is UNCONTROLLED when printed 2/6

Driver Competency for Light Vehicles• All <strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> personnel including contractors are required to meet the followingcompetency requirements for work related driving;Sealed RoadsThe following light vehicle driver competency is mandatory for all light vehicle drivers driving onsealed roads only:• RIIVEH201A — Operate Light VehicleOff Road/Unsealed RoadsThe following competencies are mandatory for personnel who operate vehicles in an off road orunsealed road, and/or remote/rural conditions:• RIIVEH305A — Operate and Maintain a Four-Wheel Drive OR• PMASUP236B — Operate Vehicles in the Field• Note; any driver who completes the Off Road/Unsealed Roads course/s will not berequired to undertake the sealed roads course. However for drivers who complete thesealed roads course only, and then require driving off road or on an unsealed road, will berequired to undertake the appropriate course.• Competencies granted by other organisations may be recognised if the course wascompleted in the last five years. However, you will need written approval from the <strong>Arrow</strong><strong>Energy</strong> Training Team for an exemption. Once the competencies have been attainedthere will be a five year recertification requirement.5. Bus Service between Brisbane and Dalby• Employees must us the mandatory bus service provided between Brisbane and Dalby forwork related travel.• Bus service is also available for contractors and consultants.• More information can be found on the company reservoir under the Corporate HSE page.STATUS: ISSUED FOR USE REV: 2This document is UNCONTROLLED when printed 3/6

Contractor Requirements• Must ensure and adhere to the requirements set out in this document and the belowpoints.• Must adhere to the <strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> light vehicle safety specification requirements and drivercompetency requirements as per contract worth as outlined in appendix 2.• Must ensure that all the requirements in this document are communicated to and followedby their employees or representatives, this includes all sub-contractors.• IVMS data is effectively downloaded, collected and analysed weekly with reports sent to<strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> on a monthly basis for assurance checks. IVMS reports sent to <strong>Arrow</strong> mustdetail what is being monitored and what the exception rules are, however as a minimummust be monitored for speed, harsh braking and harsh acceleration and exceeding drivingfor greater than 2 hours.• Data from IVMS is actively used to monitor individual driver performance and behaviourwith a disciplinary process for repeat or serious breaches of the IVMS exception rules.• Must have a journey monitoring process in place that is equal to or better than the <strong>Arrow</strong><strong>Energy</strong> Journey Monitoring Centre. Contractors may use the <strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> JourneyMonitoring Centre however must have in place their own emergency escalation process ifa driver does not log out of a call.• If using the <strong>Arrow</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> JMC, contractors must provide emergency contacts within theircompany to the JMC to use in the case of emergency escalation.• Must provide response to the light vehicle compliance requirements as set out in the lightvehicle compliance procedure and display compliance sticker/s on vehicles as required.STATUS: ISSUED FOR USE REV: 2This document is UNCONTROLLED when printed 4/6
