Brookvale Soccer outlined that the lighting at LM Graham Reservehas a shortfall in terms of coverage.The Manager of Parks & Reserves outlined that re direction of lightsmay help rectify this for training purposes.The Parks Manager outlined to the Committee that there is currentlyno funding for any proposals for lighting. Sporting clubs would have tolook at sources of funding in this regard.The chair of the Manly Warringah Pittwater Sporting Union outlinedthat the association may have funds available in this regard whichcould be sought buy sporting clubs.Recommendation:The Committee recommend to the General Manager that:A further assessment of the lighting at Sports Fields is carried out toascertain whether there is any shortfall in the LUX ratings.ITEM 6REPORT: Change of Season Renovation Works Winter toSummer SportsThe Committee discussed the conflicts with bookings at Seaforth Ovalin relation to Oz-tag, Council will need to make a change in the timeframe for renovation works at Seaforth Oval.Returning the original timeframe is the only way to lessen the conflictswith other bookings.Summer allocations start around the 5 th September to 2 nd April.Winter allocations Start Around 31st March to 25th Aug.Oz-tag runs 10 th September to 17 th December and 14 th January to 25 thMarch.There looks to still be some conflicts in this regard as well.Recommendation:That the Committee received and noted the report.The Committee recommends to the General manager that the clubsliaise with the Manager of Parks and Reserve to obtain an agreeddate for the season renovation period at Seaforth OvalGMAdopted Minutes - Sports Facilities Committee Meeting – 7 th June 2013 Page 3 of 5

ITEM7Report :Update on Items From Previous MeetingsParking at Keirle ParkGrant ApplicationsRecycling of seating toSportsfieldsBubblers at SportingfieldsSMS Billing to UsergroupsThe Manager traffic is currentlysurveying this area.Lm Grahams Reserve Grass CricketpitchesCouncil will continue to use anyavailable un used seating for sportsfields.This will be ongoing.Council is currently preparing billingfor user groups.Recommendation:The committee Received and noted the report.ITEM 8General Business.General business items brought to the attention of the Chair prior tothe meeting and approved for consideration.A representative for Basket ball at LM Grahams reserve wasconcerned at the high usage of the court at Grahams but the lack ofenough facility to accommodate the users.GMThe manager of Parks & Reserves met onsite to outline council,proposal for Grahams Reserve. The owner of Garfish Restaurant hasoffered to install an additional back board at Grahams reserve at hiscost, to accommodate the users until the multi -purpose courts are inplace.The item filming on sporting fields was raised in relation to whenfilming bookings are made and sporting clubs have to reallocateusage times that a contribution from filming entity should be allocatedto sporting clubs.The Manager Of Parks & Reserves outlined that Council does notreceive any booking or fees for these organisations. Any bookingstaken in Manly are in consideration of the sporting allocations orbookings that currently exist. There was no conflict experienced in thisregard.Recommendation:1. The items raised were received and noted by the committee.2.
