The Tippecanoe Educational Endowment (TEE) is pleased to announce that we will be hostingan assembly on March 5 th featuring Brett Eastburn: "No Arms, No Legs, NoHandicaps". The assembly will be at Tippecanoe High School at 10 a.m. for 9 th through 12 thgraders and at Tippecanoe Middle School at 1:30 p.m. for 4 th through 8 th graders. Brett visitedus in 2006 and our students and parents still rave about his energetic, motivational, andenthusiastic presentation. Brett feels that there are no handicaps, or obstacles in life which can'tbe overcome if you truly believe in yourself. We feel that this will be an excellent opportunity forlearning to happen outside of the classroom.TEE’s mission is to provide funds to students, faculty, and employees of Tipp CitySchools for the creation of, or participation in, enrichment programs. TEE is excitedabout Brett’s visit and knows that it will help all of us as we enter into the home stretch ofQ4 for the 2011/2012 school year.TMS Social Studies Teacher, Mr. ProkesNamed as a Reviewer!Seventh Grade Social Studies teacher, Chris Prokes was named as a reviewer for thejournal The Review--which is the journal of the Ohio Council for the Social Studies.He published an article in The Review a few years ago and now he has been asked toreview its contents! Congratulations Mr. Prokes!TMS MathCounts Team Placed Fourth!The MathCounts team finished 4 th place in the Dayton AreaMathCounts competition held at UD. This 4 th place finish ties thebest place ever by a TMS team at this competition. Team membersare: Josh May, Ally Chitwood, Joey Hodge, Thomas Chaney,Sammie Rowland, and Zachery Sorah. The team did a great jobrepresenting TMS at the competition. The MathCounts team issponsored by the Tippecanoe STEAM Boosters.TMS Students of the Month!Congratulations to our Students of the Month forDecember/January! December/January’s character trait wastolerance. The students will get a certificate for a freesandwich & fries at Texas Roadhouse and their photodisplayed outside the cafeteria. Not onlydid they raise theirheart rate, they raiseddollars for theAmerican HeartAssociation.
