The oversized conduit box is top-mountedand has permanently marked leads for fastand simple installation.A new adhesive-type nameplateis easy to read.Permanent magnet fields eliminatethe need for a field power supply,reducing installation and maintenancecosts.*Wash-down models are available forsevere, industrial applications, includingfood processing environments, whereprotection against contaminants, steam andhigh-pressure cleaning is critical. Specialfeatures include lip seals on both ends ofthe motor shaft to restrict water entry; ahigh-strength stainless steel shaft thatresists corrosive environments; a gasketedconduit box; double-sealed bearings;USDA-approved white epoxy paint; and acorrosion-resistant fan.Armature Class F non-hygroscopicinsulation system, rated at 180˚ C, helps toextend motor life.Permanently lubricated double-shieldedball bearings keep out dirt while guardingagainst grease loss.Front and back drains protect the motorinterior from water contamination.Welded base providesrigid support.Heavy-duty, NEMA 56C-Face frame is standard.Molded plastic end laminationand shaft protection for extendedelectrical and mechanicalendurance.The armature winding uses an improved,multiple-section design for improved motorperformance and extended brush life.Thermostats are available on aproduction basis or from stock.IEC enclosures are also availableon a production basis.
