About the training courseThe idea of the training course“Youthpass for better quality inyouth exchanges” came from theconclusion that there is a greatneed and demand to develop themethodology and tools of theways of implementation ofYouthpass in the “Youth inAction” programme.Youthpass became obligatorysince more than one year now;however, there is a risk that thefantastic recognition tool thathelps also to add greaterimportance to the non-formallearning process during theprojects in general, and youthexchanges in particular, is notcompletely understood by manyorganisations that areimplementing it.With the support of the resourcecentre SALTO Germany weproposed to set up a trainingdedicated to organisations,dealing with youth exchangesand that need to increase theirknowledge on Youthpass:evaluate the existing experienceand gain concrete tools in orderto put it into practice duringtheir activities and to implementit not just as a diploma, but as am o t i v a t i n g s e l f - a c c e s s e drecognition tool.The training was led byexperienced Youthpass trainersfrom “Together” organisationnetwork, participating inYouthpass implementation sinceits pilot experimental phase in2006, and continuing to useYo u t h p a s s d u r i n g t h e i ractivities.What is Youthpass ?Youthpass is a part of the European Commission’s strategy to foster the recognition of non-formallearning.
