If you wish to travel with <str<strong>on</strong>g>your</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>pet</str<strong>on</strong>g>, you mustobserve the following c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>s:• Pets are not permitted <strong>on</strong> V/<strong>Line</strong> coaches• All domesticated <str<strong>on</strong>g>pet</str<strong>on</strong>g>s, including cats and dogs,must be carried in an approved animal c<strong>on</strong>tainerthat meets the following guidelines:··Small – equivalent to <strong>on</strong>e unit of baggage··Suitable for cats and small dogs– up to a small terrier size··Size – 56cm l<strong>on</strong>g / 30cm wide / 38cm high··Maximum weight (including <str<strong>on</strong>g>pet</str<strong>on</strong>g>) – up to 15kg• Provided the RSPCA guidelines are met with the animalbeing able to stand up straight, lie down withoutbeing cramped and turn around within the approvedc<strong>on</strong>tainer, carriage of more than <strong>on</strong>e animal is permitted• Small animals in approved c<strong>on</strong>tainers can be carried<strong>on</strong> the following <strong>train</strong> c<strong>on</strong>figurati<strong>on</strong>s in the designatedlocati<strong>on</strong>s provided:··Loco - Hauled Services – in the luggage van(not allowed within passenger cabin)··VLocity fleet – inside the passenger cabin withinthe designated bike/luggage storage area··Sprinters – inside the passenger cabin within thedesignated luggage storage area (known as the corral)• All small animals carried in an approved c<strong>on</strong>tainer arethe resp<strong>on</strong>sibility and under supervisi<strong>on</strong> of the owner.Owners are required to place the animal c<strong>on</strong>tainer <strong>on</strong>and off the V/<strong>Line</strong> <strong>train</strong>3✗• All small animals carried in an approved c<strong>on</strong>tainer areto be stored in designated luggage areas and cannotbe stored in walkways, under seats, in overheadluggage racks or <strong>on</strong> seats• Owners are resp<strong>on</strong>sible for the removal and clean-upof any excrement and/or mess that the animal mayproduce <strong>on</strong> their journey• It is recommended you travel in off-peak periods• V/<strong>Line</strong> staff will take no resp<strong>on</strong>sibility for thestorage and carriage of small animals• Only <strong>on</strong>e approved c<strong>on</strong>tainer per adult ticket.You can NOT travel with <str<strong>on</strong>g>your</str<strong>on</strong>g> animal if:• The c<strong>on</strong>tainer is not sufficiently sturdy or is indisrepair and the animal is likely to escape• The c<strong>on</strong>tainer or animal is unclean• The animal appears diseased• The animal is savage or aggressive or createsundue disturbance• The c<strong>on</strong>tainer could cause injury or sufferingto the animal and/or passenger and staff• The c<strong>on</strong>tainer fails to meet the RSPCA regulati<strong>on</strong>sthat the animal must be able to:··Stand up straight;··Lie down without being cramped;··Turn around within the c<strong>on</strong>tainer.
