10 th <str<strong>on</strong>g>Symposium</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Flora</strong> <strong>of</strong> Sou<strong>the</strong>astern <strong>Serbia</strong> <strong>and</strong> Neighbouring regi<strong>on</strong>s,Vlasina 17 to 20 June 2010<strong>Flora</strong> <strong>of</strong> accumulati<strong>on</strong> Vrtac (Budoske bare), NiksicBubanja, N.JU"Prirodnjački muzej Crne Gore", Crna Goranadabubanja@t-com.meIn <strong>the</strong> sou<strong>the</strong>rn part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Nikšić field are situated Budoske bare(accumulati<strong>on</strong> Vrtac) which occupies an area <strong>of</strong> 13,42 km². This accumulati<strong>on</strong> wasformed in 1958 by packed-bed dam Vrtac which was dammed <strong>the</strong> river Zeta.Accumulati<strong>on</strong> level rises usually 2 to 3 times a year during <strong>the</strong> heavy rainfall <strong>and</strong>snow melting. Marshy gley soil is present in this area. During <strong>the</strong> study <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> flora<strong>and</strong> vegetati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> accumulati<strong>on</strong> Vrtac166 plant species that occur both in water <strong>and</strong>in <strong>the</strong> surrounding flood meadows were noted. The ass. Chenoplectetum lacustrisLakušić et Pavlović 1976 is present here. We found 2 new species (Edrianthusdalmaticus(A.DC.)A.DC., Viola pumila Chaix in Vill) for <strong>the</strong> flora <strong>of</strong> M<strong>on</strong>tenegro.Key words: accumulati<strong>on</strong> Vrtac(Budoske bare), M<strong>on</strong>tenegro, flora, diversity E.prunastri extracts inhibited A. niger <strong>and</strong> C. albicans more than nistatine st<strong>and</strong>ardwhich suggests <strong>the</strong>ir possible use as active ingredients in phyto-<strong>the</strong>rapeutics.Horological <strong>and</strong> phytogeographycal characteristics <strong>of</strong>genus Geum L. in <strong>Serbia</strong>Ranđelović, V. 1 , Matejić, J. 21 Department <strong>of</strong> Biology <strong>and</strong> Ecology, Faculty <strong>of</strong> Science <strong>and</strong> Ma<strong>the</strong>matics,University <strong>of</strong> Niš, <strong>Serbia</strong>2 Faculty <strong>of</strong> Medicine, University <strong>of</strong> Nis, <strong>Serbia</strong>vladar@pmf.ni.ac.rsThe genus Geum bel<strong>on</strong>gs to <strong>the</strong> Rosaceae family. This genus includes eightspecies in <strong>Serbia</strong>: G. bulgaricum Pančić, G. coccineum Sibth. & Sm, G. molle Vis.& Pančić, G. m<strong>on</strong>tanum L., G. reptans L., G. rhodopeum Stoj. & Stefanov, Geumrivale L. <strong>and</strong> G. urbanum L. In additi<strong>on</strong>, <strong>the</strong>re is also a large number <strong>of</strong> hybrids,from which <strong>the</strong> most interesting Geum rhodopaeum x G. rivale. G. rhodopeum Stoj.& Stefanov is endemic <strong>of</strong> Moesian floristic provinces <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Balkan floristicsubregi<strong>on</strong>. G. bulgaricum Pančić is endemic <strong>of</strong> Scardo-Pindian <strong>and</strong> MoesianProvinces <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Balkan floristic subregi<strong>on</strong>. G. coccineum Sibth. & Sm issubendemic <strong>of</strong> South Carpathian <strong>and</strong> Balkan. This paper will summarize currentknowledge about distributi<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se plants in <strong>Serbia</strong>.37
