Entom<strong>of</strong>auna Prokletija ukazuje na bogatstvo, jedinstvenost izastupljenost značajnih vrsta, te na taj način predstavlja značajan centar diverzitetana Balkanu i Evropi, te tako s ovog aspekta zaslužuje da se uvrsti u kategorijuteritorije sa velikim biodiverzitetom.Cerambycidae <strong>of</strong> South-east <strong>Serbia</strong> (Coleoptera,Cerambycidae)Gnjatović, I., Žikić, V.Department <strong>of</strong> Biology <strong>and</strong> Ecology, Faculty <strong>of</strong> Science <strong>and</strong> Ma<strong>the</strong>matics,University <strong>of</strong> Niš, <strong>Serbia</strong>ivangnjatovic81@gmail.comCerambycids are known as very attractive insects, as well as forest pests.Investigati<strong>on</strong> <strong>and</strong> collecting <strong>the</strong> specimens <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> family Cerambycidae in <strong>Serbia</strong>started in <strong>the</strong> middle <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> nineteenth century. Up today, 242 species are registred in<strong>the</strong> fauna <strong>of</strong> <strong>Serbia</strong> (Ilić 2005). The first informati<strong>on</strong> about Cerambycids in <strong>Serbia</strong>was published by Bobić (1871). In his publicati<strong>on</strong> ‘Coleoptera <strong>of</strong> Kruševac <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong>neighbouring areas’ [in <strong>Serbia</strong>n]. Significant c<strong>on</strong>tributi<strong>on</strong> in researching <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>family Cerambycidae was given by Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Nedeljko Košanin 1904, ‘’Checklist <strong>of</strong>Coleoptera in <strong>the</strong> Museum <strong>of</strong> Srpske zemlje’’ [in <strong>Serbia</strong>n]. He noted 72 species fromvarious localities in <strong>Serbia</strong>. After that, <strong>the</strong>re were several authors who were occupiedby l<strong>on</strong>ghorn beetles: Adamović (1950), Mikšić (1963), Ćurčić et al. (2003), <strong>and</strong> Ilić(2005). In our work we have presented forty-nine species reviewed from 34 generawhich bel<strong>on</strong>g to five subfamilies: Pri<strong>on</strong>inae . Lepturinae, Sp<strong>on</strong>dylidinae,Cerambycinae <strong>and</strong> Lamiinae. All material has been collected from <strong>the</strong> south-eastern<strong>Serbia</strong>. The most numerous was <strong>the</strong> subfamily Cerambycinae comprising 18 speciesfrom 15 genera.124
