Value Addition 4A.2.1 Under scheme for export <strong>of</strong> jewellery, value addition shall becalculated as per paragraph 4A.6 <strong>of</strong> FTP. Minimum value additionshall be:S.No. Item <strong>of</strong> Export Minimum Value Additiona) Plain gold / platinum / silver jewellery and Articles and 4%ornaments like Mangalsutra containing gold and blackbeads / imitation stones, except in studded form <strong>of</strong> jewellery.b) All types <strong>of</strong> Studded gold / platinum / silver 6.5%Jewellery and articles there<strong>of</strong>.c) Any jewellery / articles manufactured by fully 2%mechanised processd) Gold / silver / platinum medallions & coins 2%(excluding coins <strong>of</strong> nature <strong>of</strong> legal tender)e) Gold / silver / platinum findings / mountings 3%manufactured by mechanised process4A.2.2Entitlement <strong>of</strong> quantity <strong>of</strong> gold / silver / platinum against the exportshall be quantity <strong>of</strong> gold / silver / platinum in item <strong>of</strong> export plusadmissible wastage / manufacturing loss.Loss <strong>of</strong> Gem and 4A.3 Consignments <strong>of</strong> gem and jewellery items exported out <strong>of</strong> countryJewelleryand lost in transit after exports, where foreign exchange againstsuch exports has been realised or insurance claims settled, willalso be eligible for REP Authorisation.Gem & Jewellery 4A.4 Gem REP Authorisations shall be valid for import <strong>of</strong> preciousReplenishmentstones, semi-precious and synthetic stones and pearls. In addition,AuthorisationsAuthorisation shall also be valid for import <strong>of</strong> empty jewelleryboxes, upto 5% <strong>of</strong> value <strong>of</strong> Authorisation within its overall CIFvalue. Gem REP Authorisations issued against export <strong>of</strong> studdedgold / silver / platinum jewellery articles, shall also be valid forimport <strong>of</strong> cut and polished precious / semi-precious stones otherthan emerald, upto 10% <strong>of</strong> CIF value <strong>of</strong> Authorisation, within itsoverall CIF value.4A.4.1Gem REP Authorisation are available as per scale given inAppendix-12B.Filing <strong>of</strong> Application 4A.4.2 (i) An application for Gem Rep Authorisation may be givento RA concerned as given in Appendix-1A in the formgiven in Appendix-22-F alongwith prescribed documents.(ii)In case E.P Copy <strong>of</strong> Shipping Bill and Customs attestedinvoice is submitted to nominated agencies, exporter shallfurnish a self certified photo copy <strong>of</strong> same along with acertificate from nominated agencies certifying carat / value80
