Payment through 2.25.1 Payment through ECGC cover would count for benefits underECGC coverFTP.Payment through 2.25.2 Amount <strong>of</strong> <strong>General</strong> Insurance Cover for transit loss would be<strong>General</strong> Insurancetreated as payment realized for exports under various exportpromotion schemes.Irrevocable 2.25.3 In case where applicant applies for duty credit scrip / DEPB /Letter <strong>of</strong> CreditDFIA / discharge <strong>of</strong> EO against confirmed irrevocable letter <strong>of</strong>credit (or bill <strong>of</strong> exchange which is unconditionally Avalised / Co-Accepted / Guaranteed by a bank) and this is confirmed andcertified by exporter’s bank in relevant Bank Certificate <strong>of</strong> Exportand Realization, payment <strong>of</strong> export proceeds shall be deemed tobe realized. For Status Holders, irrevocable letter <strong>of</strong> credit wouldsuffice.Export by post 2.26 In case <strong>of</strong> export by post, exporter shall submit followingdocuments in lieu <strong>of</strong> documents prescribed for export by sea / air:1) Bank Certificate <strong>of</strong> Export and Realisation as in Appendix-22A.2) Relevant postal receipt3) Invoice duly attested by Customs authorities.Import/ Export 2.26.1 Imports / Exports through a registered courier service is permittedthrough Courier as per Notification issued by DoR. However, importability /Serviceexportability <strong>of</strong> such items shall be regulated in accordance withFTP.Direct negotiation <strong>of</strong> 2.26.2 In cases where exporter directly negotiates document (not throughexport documentsauthorised dealer) with permission <strong>of</strong> RBI, he is required to submitfollowing documents for availing <strong>of</strong> benefits under exportpromotion schemes:a. Permission from RBI allowing direct negotiation <strong>of</strong>documents (not required for status holders),b. Copy <strong>of</strong> <strong>Foreign</strong> Inward Remittance Certificate (FIRC)as per Form 10-H <strong>of</strong> Income Tax department in lieu <strong>of</strong>BRC andc. Statement giving details <strong>of</strong> shipping bills / invoice againstwhich FIRC was issued.Import/Export <strong>of</strong> Samples 2.27 No Authorisation shall be required for Import <strong>of</strong> bonafide technicaland trade samples <strong>of</strong> items restricted in ITC(HS) except vegetableseeds, bees and new drugs . Samples <strong>of</strong> tea not exceeding Rs.2000(CIF) in one consignment shall be allowed without an Authorisationby any person connected with Tea industry.24
