No.: GPS Plus Collar Manager Date: 7.3.12 VECTRONIC Aerospace 2.5 Registering Subsystems There are two subsystems that have to be paid for to use them: The coordinate transformation and the mail reception. The coordinate transformation allows you to transform the ECEF (earth centred earth fixed) and geographic coordinates, as provided by GPS Plus as standard when exporting, to one of over 90 coordinate systems (see Appendix F: Available Coordinate Systems) with over 50 different reference ellipsoids (see Appendix G: Available Reference Ellipsoids). Even userdefined coordinate systems are possible. If you purchase this subsystem, you will receive a file named GeoDLL_Access.Key. It contains your name and/or institutions name, your address, and a coded key. Just copy this file into your program directory (where GPS_Plus.exe is stored) and restart your program. The program will notice the existence of the file at the next start and check it. The same applies for the mail reception subsystem. Only the file name is different: MailReception_Access.Key. The mail reception subsystem allows you to automatically read, store, merge, and export SMS messages received by email; this saves you to store the attachments manually, then merge and export them. Doc. No.: GPS Plus Collar Manager Date: 7.3.12 VECTRONIC Aerospace 3 The Main Window The program is a sizeable window with a centred logo. On top there is a pull down menu bar with a toolbar below. Every action is done via this menu and the toolbar. The status bar at the bottom shows time and date in UTC derived from the computer time, the device selected (Collar, GSM Base Station, or Handheld Terminal) and the commands available for this device. First select the device with which you want to communicate via the first three buttons of the toolbar or via the corresponding entries in the File menu. The main menu as well as the toolbar change whenever you change the mode. The toolbar shows only the most important commands of the selected device. The device and the corresponding interface are updated in the status bar at the bottom. This design is the property of VECTRONIC Aerospace GmbH.
