No.: GPS Plus Collar Manager Date: 7.3.12 VECTRONIC Aerospace 7.4.3 Manage Data This command allows you to configure the Handheld Terminal for field work and retrieve data after collecting it from the collars in the field. Figure 157: Manage Terminal Data form The form contains main menu, toolbar, collar list, and status bar. The list contains all collars that are already registered in the terminal. It shows the collar ID, the firmware version, and the number of pages with GPS, Activity, and Mortality data retrieved from the collar via RF. You can execute commands on selected collars. To select a collar, just click on it. To select multiple collars, use Shift to mark a range and Ctrl to add single collars to other selected collars. 7.4.3.1 List - Reload List This command can also be accessed via the toolbar symbols shown to the left. It reads all collar information from the terminal. No sensor data will be transmitted. A form will open, listing all collars registered in GPS Plus (on how to register a collar see 3.1.6 Collar List). Select the collars you want to use and press OK . The collars will then be configured in the terminal and the list will be reloaded. 7.4.3.2 List – Add Collar(s) This command can also be accessed via the toolbar symbols shown to the left. It allows you to add one or more collars to the terminal. A form will open, listing all collars registered in GPS Plus (on how to register a collar see 3.1.6 Collar List). Select the collars you want to use and press the OK button. The collars will then be configured in the terminal and the list will be reloaded. 7.4.3.3 List - Remove Collar(s) This command can also be accessed via the toolbar symbols shown to the left. It allows you to remove collars from the terminal. Note: This will also erase the data of these collars from the terminal. There is no way of restoring these data. The list will be updated while the selected collars are removed. 7.4.3.4 Download - Read all Data This command can also be accessed via the toolbar symbols shown to the left. It reads all available data from the selected collars. It will automatically use default filenames for the data files, you cannot select you own file names and folders. For example, the filenames for collar 65535 are: Collar65535YYMMDDHHMMSS.GDF 1 in the GPS Data folder for the GPS data, Collar65535 YYMMDDHHMMSS.ADF in the Activity Data folder for the activity data, and MortalityEvents65535YYMMDDHHMMSS.TXT in the Mortality Files folder for the mortality data. For empty data, no file will be created. 7.4.3.5 Download - Read GPS Data This command can also be accessed via the toolbar symbols shown to the left. It reads the GPS fix data of the currently selected collars. For every selected collar, a Save File dialog with a suggestion for the name will open. After selecting a file name, a progress bar will open while the data download of the current collar is in progress. 7.4.3.6 Download - Read Activity Data This command can also be accessed via the toolbar symbols shown to the left. It reads the activity data of the currently selected collars. For every collar selected, a Save File dialog with a suggestion for the name will open. After selecting a file name, a progress bar will open while the data download of the current collar is in progress. 7.4.3.7 Download - Read Mortality Data This command can also be accessed via the toolbar symbols shown to the left. It reads the mortality data of the currently selected collars. For every collar selected, a Save File dialog with a suggestion for the name will open. After selecting a filename, a progress bar will open while the data download of the current collar is in progress. 7.4.3.8 Download - Read Proximity Data This command can also be accessed via the toolbar symbols shown to the left. It reads the proximity data of the currently selected collars. For every collar selected, a Save File dialog with a suggestion for the name will open. After selecting a filename, a progress bar will open while the data download of the current collar is in progress. 7.4.3.9 Erase - Erase All Data This command can also be accessed via the toolbar symbols shown to the left. It erases all data of the currently selected collars in the terminal. A warning will open, requesting an acknowledgement to erase the data of the selected collars. Since erasing is working much faster than reading, no progress bar, but a message window will be shown while in progress. 1 YYMMDDHHMMSS stands for year (Y), month (M), day (D), hour (H), minute (M), second (S) This design is the property of VECTRONIC Aerospace GmbH.
