For the avoidance <strong>of</strong> doubt,pr<strong>of</strong>essional fees hereunder refer to fees received by the Applicant <strong>for</strong>providing advisory or consultancy services to its clients.The Applicant shall furnish as part <strong>of</strong> its Proposal, a bid security <strong>of</strong> Rs. 56750/-(Rupees Fifty Six Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty only) in the <strong>for</strong>m <strong>of</strong> aDemand Draft issued by one <strong>of</strong> the Nationalised / Scheduled Banks in India infavour <strong>of</strong> the “Chairman, <strong>Chennai</strong> <strong>Port</strong> Trust” payable at <strong>Chennai</strong> (the “BidSecurity”), returnable not later than 30 (thirty) days from PDD except in case<strong>of</strong> the two highest ranked Applicants as required in Clause 2.24.1. In theevent that the first ranked Applicant commences the assignment as required inClause 2.29, the second ranked Applicant, who has been kept in reserve, shallbe returned its Bid Security <strong>for</strong>thwith, but in no case later than 120 (Onehundred and twenty) days from PDD. The Selected Applicant’s Bid Securityshall be returned upon the Applicant signing the Agreement.Traffic-cum-Safety ExpertKeyPersonnelEducationalQualificationPeriodreckoned <strong>for</strong>evaluationExperience onAssignmentsThe Selected Applicant may, if necessary, be invited <strong>for</strong> negotiations. Thenegotiations shall generally not be <strong>for</strong> reducing the price <strong>of</strong> the Proposal, butwill be <strong>for</strong> re-confirming the obligations <strong>of</strong> the Consultant under this RFP.Issues such as deployment <strong>of</strong> Key Personnel, understanding <strong>of</strong> the RFP,methodology and quality <strong>of</strong> the work plan shall be discussed duringnegotiations. Issues such as deployment <strong>of</strong> Key Personnel,understanding <strong>of</strong> the RFP, methodology and quality <strong>of</strong> the work planshall be discussed during negotiations. A key personnel who fails toqualify as required under Cl 3.1.2 shall be replaced by the Applicantwith the better candidate to the satisfaction <strong>of</strong> the Authority. In the event that the Applicant does nothave a statutory auditor, it shall provide the requisite certificate(s) from the firm<strong>of</strong> Chartered Accountants that ordinarily audits the annual accounts <strong>of</strong> theApplicant. Such certificates produced shall be original / <strong>No</strong>tarized.¥ <strong>No</strong> separate annual financial statements should be submittedThe following para is numbered as 2.2.3 in page no. 142.2.3.
