Repayment Agreement GuidelinesDown Payment RequirementPHA PolicyPrior to the execution of a repayment agreement, the owner or family must pay 33percent of the balance owed to the PHA if the balance owed is greater than $500.Payment ThresholdsPHA PolicyThe maximum length of time the PHA will enter into a payment agreement with a familyis one year.Execution of the AgreementPHA PolicyThe head of household and spouse/co-head (if applicable) must sign the repaymentagreement.Due DatesPHA PolicyAll payments are due by the close of business on the 5 th day of the month. If the 5 th doesnot fall on a business day, the due date is the close of business on the first business dayafter the 5 th .Non-PaymentPHA PolicyIf a payment is not received by the end of the business day on the date due, it will beconsidered a breach of the agreement and the PHA will terminate assistance upon writtennotification to the family.© Copyright 2008 Nan McKay & Associates, Inc.
