<strong>1.</strong> <strong>There</strong> <strong>is</strong> <strong>no</strong> <strong>minimum</strong> <strong>contract</strong> <strong>period</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> Max<strong>is</strong> <strong>Broadband</strong> Service(hereafter referred to as <strong>the</strong> “Service”), however you agree to pay ahandling fee of RM200 if you d<strong>is</strong>continue <strong>the</strong> Service.For customers who have stayed with us <strong>for</strong> 12 months or more, Max<strong>is</strong> willabsorb <strong>the</strong> handling fee.2. The Service <strong>is</strong> on a best ef<strong>for</strong>t bas<strong>is</strong>. Speeds <strong>for</strong> wireless broadbanddepend on factors such as location, d<strong>is</strong>tance from communications tower andnumber of simultaneous users.3. The Service <strong>is</strong> only available in coverage areas. Be<strong>for</strong>e signing up, pleasecall 1800 82 2000 or check at max<strong>is</strong>.com.my/broadband if you arewithin <strong>the</strong> coverage area.4. For customers who w<strong>is</strong>h to self-install, you can collect your equipmentimmediately by paying Max<strong>is</strong> a one-time fee of RM100 upfront uponreg<strong>is</strong>tration. For customers who require installation,<strong>the</strong>re <strong>is</strong> an additional charge of RM88 and you will be invoiced RM188 in yourfirst month’s bill; <strong>no</strong> upfront payment <strong>is</strong> required.5. If <strong>the</strong> Service <strong>is</strong> <strong>no</strong>t up to your expectation, you can return <strong>the</strong> equipmentwithin 7 days from <strong>the</strong> date of reg<strong>is</strong>tration at <strong>no</strong> charge and we will fullyrefund <strong>the</strong> RM100 upfront fee (provided <strong>the</strong>equipment and its packaging are in good condition).6. Every time you log on to our Service, a webpage may appear tocommunicate <strong>the</strong> latest in<strong>for</strong>mation and to link to your account managementportal.7. To allow all our customers to enjoy quality browsing experience, Max<strong>is</strong>will <strong>no</strong>t assure constant connectivity if you use peer-to-peer or file sharingsoftware.8. You may use up to a stipulated data volume per month according to yourplan subscription. If you exceed th<strong>is</strong>, Max<strong>is</strong> reserves <strong>the</strong> right to throttleyour speed, and <strong>for</strong> very excessive usage, to capyour usage.


9. As th<strong>is</strong> modem <strong>is</strong> provided on a rental bas<strong>is</strong>, you are responsible <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong>safety of our equipment at all times. Upon termination of <strong>the</strong> Service, ourequipment must be returned in good condition(<strong>no</strong> m<strong>is</strong>sing parts, <strong>no</strong> scratches, modem in working condition) or you may becharged up to RM500 per device.10. A deposit <strong>is</strong> required <strong>for</strong> every broadband subscription under <strong>the</strong> samename (applicable to both Malaysians and <strong>no</strong>n-Malaysians). However, <strong>for</strong>Malaysians, <strong>the</strong> deposit <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> 1st subscription <strong>is</strong>waived.
