In order toensure that danger points, accesspaths and high-risk areas are absolutelysecure, the units can besupplied in various resolutionswith various protected heights.The safety light curtains and lightgrids by Schmersal EOT functionon the grid principle. The transmitterand receiver are accommodatedin two separate housings.A barrier consisting of invisibleinfra-red light beams is emitted bythe transmitter and then analysedby the receiver. If a person interruptsthe protection field, a stopsignal is generated which bringsthe machinery to a halt. The safetylight curtains and light grids aremaintenance-free.2
