Altogether, the different sources <strong>of</strong> data provided a good geographic coverage <strong>of</strong>the <strong>biological</strong> m<strong>on</strong>itoring systems used in assessing the quality <strong>of</strong> lakes and riversacross Europe. However, some <strong>methods</strong> are poorly described invalidating the use <strong>of</strong>the informati<strong>on</strong> for a comprehensive comparis<strong>on</strong>, which thus in some cases can <strong>on</strong>lybe d<strong>on</strong>e in general terms.A.
