4 Installation Procedure4.1 Unpacking the ApplianceThe appliance is supplied as standard in 2 separate packages. Any optional extras are suppliedindividually. Check the availability and contents of each package before commencing the installation.Boiler package:Boiler (assembled)Wall mounted template (paper)Wall mounted pipework connectionsInstallation package:Flue duct comprising standard horizontal terminal assembly.Flue turret concentric elbow.Conversion kit from Natural Gas (G20) to Propane (G31)(includes instructions for conversion).Note: The Vitodens <strong>200</strong> ‘installation package’ and all system pipework and flue system can beinstalled prior to the boiler being fitted if site security cannot be guaranteed.4.2 Preparing the Wall for InstallationImportant: Before installing the appliance, check that the chosen position is suitable (section 3.2),adequate installation clearances are available (section 2.4) and that the requirements for flueterminal position (section 3.3) are satisfied.4.2.1 Fitting the Wall Mounted Piping Frame Assemblya) Open the paper wall template and fix it in the desired location, ensuring thatthe appliance centre line is vertical and that the minimum installationclearances are maintained.b) Mark the position of the four fixing holes and the flue outlet if a rear flue is tobe used. If a side (or vertical) flue is to be used the appropriate centre lineshould be extended as shown in Figure 4/A to mark the required hole position.c) Drill the top and bottom fixing holes (Figure 4/B) 8 mm diameter. Insert theappropriate plugs. Use a core drill to bore the air / flue duct 130 mm diameter21
