Without degrading any of the traditional surveycapabilities, a sidescan swath is measured and output from the topside sonarprocessor. The SeaBat system using either Snippets or MBES Sidescan capabilityis ideal for pipeline inspection operations and general site surveys where colocationusing both bathymetry and sidescan is desirable. The Option 033 upgrade includes changes to the topside processor to enable theprocessing of both types of data, which is then made available from the rear ofthe processor in digital form (Ethernet UDP protocol). The upgrade does not includea method for Snippets or Sidescan data to be displayed; this needs to providedadditionally.______________________________________________________________________SeaBat 8101 Operator's Manual 4-2 Version 3.02
