System Operation3.7.5 HeadTiltThe value entered here rotates the layer formed by the depth gates. Use thisfunction to compensate for a sonar head with a roll offset in its mounting structure.The adjustment range is plus or minus 180 degrees in one degree steps.See Chapter 8 for additional information on the head tilt function.3.8 Menu OffThis menu item offers the operator the option of no menu display. If Off is selectedthe menu block collapses to a single line. Click this line and the currentmenu will reappear.3.9 Configuration MenuThe configuration menu is accessible only through theBITE screen. Configuration menu items are madeavailable to allow the operator to integrate the SeaBat<strong>8101</strong> system into any specific survey vessel or platform.3.9.1 UplinkThis menu item selects the uplink port to be used. The selections available areCOAX 1, COAX 2, FIBER 1, and FIBER 2.3.9.2 OutputThis selection allows the operator to change the method by which the measuredprofile is output from the Sonar Processor. See Chapter 6 for a detailed descriptionof the format of the output data packets.
