Entering this offset value is required to guarantee that the depthgates will work properly with this configuration.8.2.2 A Brief Description of Depth GatesThe depth gates, with no input from a motion sensor, will orient themselves parallelto the horizontal plane of the sonar head, as shown by the Min and MaxDepthlines in Figure 28. In this series of illustrations, the bottom detect dots are shownas a horizontal line (Line A or B) with dashed lines representing depth gatesabove and below the bottom and no vessel roll present.
