Chapter 13 marks a new division in the book of <strong>Isaiah</strong> that extends through 21:17 <strong>and</strong> also23:1-8. This section of <strong>Isaiah</strong> deals with judgment of surrounding nations. It is a genre in <strong>and</strong>of itself. It is very similar to Jeremiah 46-51; Ezekiel 25-32; Amos 1-2; Obadiah, Nahum, <strong>and</strong>Zephaniah 2.151
