21capacity <strong>of</strong> the bus, subject to the maximum <strong>of</strong> 10 standingpassengers at a time.(xiii) The permit holder shall ensure that concessional passes issued tovarious sections authorized for these buses shall be honoured.(xiv) The permit holder shall exercise such supervision as is necessary toensure that the vehicle is operated in conformity with the MotorVehicle Act/Rules with due regard for the comfort, convenience andsafety <strong>of</strong> passengers carried and shall not use or cause or allow touse the vehicle in the commission <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>fence under the IndianPenal Code on local or special laws or any statutory control order. Thevehicle shall be kept neat and clean at all times during the operation.(xv)Not more than 15 kgs. <strong>of</strong> luggage and personal effects for eachpassenger shall be carried in any stage in the vehicle free <strong>of</strong> cost.(xvi) It shall be ensured that goods shall be <strong>of</strong> such a nature and shall beso packed and secured on the vehicle as no danger, inconvenience ordiscomfort is caused to the passengers.(xvii) Permit holder shall ensure that the bus stops to pick up and allows toget <strong>of</strong>f passengers only from the authorized bus stops and nopassenger is allowed to board or to get down at a non-prescribed busstop. The operators will have to pay service charges @ Rs. 250/- PerBus on monthly basis to the <strong>Haryana</strong> Roadways for using its busstops.(xviii) A complaint book with serial numbered pages, duly authenticated bythe permit holder, shall be kept with the conductor. The conductorshall provide the complaint book to the passengers for recording thecomplaints. The permit holder shall ensure that desired action is takenon the complaints.(xix) First Aid Box shall be provided in the vehicle.(xx)The buses issued stage carriage permits shall not be utilised for anyother purpose except with the prior approval <strong>of</strong> the State TransportAuthority.(xxi) It shall be ensured that the vehicle to which permit relates shall befitted with speed governors set for maximum speed <strong>of</strong> 65 km. perhour.(xxii) All statutory obligations under labour laws and any enactments forbenefit <strong>of</strong> employees <strong>of</strong> the operator shall be scrupulously observedby the permit holder.(xxiii) The holder <strong>of</strong> a permit shall furnish to the State Transport Authoritysuch periodical returns, statistics and other information as the State<strong>Government</strong>/ State Transport Authority may from time to timeprescribed.(xxiv) The State Transport Authority may initiate action for suspension/cancellation <strong>of</strong> the permit/imposition <strong>of</strong> penalty for violation <strong>of</strong> any <strong>of</strong>the above conditions, misbehavior or assault by Bus crew, decline inperformance <strong>of</strong> norms etc. and provisions <strong>of</strong> the M.V. Act & Rulesframed thereunder.
